I would argue that the biggest mistake was letting Sanchez's safty blanket (J-CO) go. With that said, Mark needs some consistency at the WR position. Keller will probably be gone next year so I hop to god Sanchez really develops with JK, and SH this year. Fuck Holmes

I think that is probably accurate. As nice as it was to have Edwards stretching the field, a WR that runs great routes, has VERY good hands, and does the little things to work with his QB is probably more valuable. I think this is especially true for a QB that is still learning the position.

Ok, lets agree that losing both BE and JC definitely affected MS. That and the OL sucked mainly WH yet hes back for another year? Whatever is going on behind closed doors at the NYJETS headquarters puzzles the hell out of me.

Cotchery is a loss that is going to be harder to replace, IMHO. Edwards can be replaced by Hill pretty easily; his biggest contribution/Hill's biggest strength is the ability to stretch the field.

you just gotta trust MT, RR, and the rest of the NYJETS FO.

while i agree that letting BE go was a mistake, i think SH will definitely fulfill our deep threat needs. MS will also be fine, especially since the departure of BS. obviously WH is a liability, but theres plenty of time for the NYJETS FO to make another move, unfortunately the JO trade just didn't work out as planned.

Yeah, a ton of mistakes that nobody likes to acknowledge in the media or some posters here. You can stunt a players' growth, let him grow without change, or postively affect his growth. I truly believe the Jets stunted Sanchez's growth by not letting live and die with his decisions. They tried to turn him into a gun slinger where he is more of a Big Ben, Romo, Eli, Flacco who will make their mistakes that frustrate you but sling the ball around.

The Jets needed a game manager, but they didn't draft one and I think they effected Sanchez's development but trying to force him into a type of QB instead of letting him become whatever QB he is (which again I think is the Ben, Eli, Romo, Flacco type)
