Jets 83; I know its fun to create threads, but please think before you post. You have a few threads on here recently that are at best; amature. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to filter through all the BS threads. And yes, I will call you crazy on this one!
Why is everyone saying this impossible?? I mean im not saying its a forgone concusion, but JERRY said they'll move on if they have to. Now he could be scaring him straight but is it not worth at least a look?
Amature??? Im sorry i forgot were writing for the Times here. I guess ill just keep my positive opinions to myself and NOT post them on a public opinion forum and let the ones who doubt this team to post away
It's not that people are discouraging you from posting something, but it's not like Dallas is dangling the guy out there. I'm sure like someone said earlier this is Jones looking to light a fire. The guy is not coming to the Jets.
But if he said in the article, if anyone read it, he was asked in a 1 on 1 interview will you move on? Yes we will he said. Why am i fishing to think there is a POSSIBILITY that they COULD end up moving him???? And if they are should we not maybe consider TAKING A LOOK????
I wasnt gonna but...............this isnt Madden and the COWBOYS cannot and will not part ways with Dez Bryant. But in my OPINION we are THIN at WR and really could use some veteran prescence. Holmes cannot do it alone and he wont. Holmes---what Santonio shows up this season and when will he meltdown? Kerley---showed signs of brightness last season, not so much in camp. Turner---who? hasnt proven he deserves a roster spot yet. Schillens---injury prone and now in the media complaining from the sidelines. Hill---promising rookie but unproven. White---injury prone and unproven. McKnight---Scotty that is. Many complain about Mark Sanchez and how hes regressed in my OPINION its more the OL and the WRs than it is Mark Sanchez. Dez Bryant sounds intriguing but at what cost next years #1? Id prefer to bring T.O in and see what hes got left in camp and pre-season worse scenario you cut him loose before the season starts if he doesnt meet any and all expectations on and off the field. Reports out of San Francisco is that Randy Moss is having a great camp and will help the 49ers. Just saying......
Also my threads have a total of 263 posts on them, so as stupid as some of them may be they create alot of discussion on the forum
Its not even a madden trade if the team wants to move on from him which Jerry said they may end up wanting to do. If we got Holmes a SB MVP for a 5th why would we need to give up a 1 for Dez?? If the 'Boys really wanna get rid of him, and thats the only way we make this happen, then we hold most of the power in what we give up. Maybe a 4th rounder or 3rd at highest with like kerley or schilens?? Its not THAT crazy to just think about
Let's say that every possible scenario goes the way you think. The Cowboys get sick of him, they cut him, he's available to go after. Why not, you ask? As if the current Jets aren't disfunctional enough, HE HIT HIS OWN MOTHER. And, it's not even the first thing that's earned him negative pub. Stop dude, just stop. And don't flaunt that you have a huge response to starting threads, I certainly could careless about posts and rankings on message board.
Sign Braylon Edwards,.... /sigh H Nicks, Jordy Nelson, M Williams, W Welker, A.J. Green, M Manningham, Torry Smith,.. Were all unknowns until they made a name for themselves. It amazes me how many people complain that we never groom our in house talent and then go buck wild for the team to sign veteran cast-offs every off-season.
I NEVER SAID WE NEED TO MAKE THIS DEAL!!!!! Im simply putting it out there for discussion!!!! Raising ideas, DOES ANYONE THINK WE CAN MAKE IT WORK???? Maybe Rex can get through to him. IDK!!! Just an idea HOLY FUCK talk about being crusified for throwing and idea out there. Alot of ppl on this forum act theyre fucking professionals because they post on a forum. Im pretty sure a few years back if i said HEY we should trade for Santonio Holmes id prob get raped as well! And before anyone says "Yeah and look what santonio did for us!" I am! How many games he win for us in 2010??? How bout 2011 pre-melt down?? If youve played this game before you understand that its not 1 single player that brings a team down its a bad team enviroment, which sure Holmes did contribute to it but he wasnt the only reason for it, its easy for us to point the finger at him because hes the only guy we know of who was apart of it
Im all for grooming in house talent. Hard to do when they are on the sidelines hurt. Holmes and Hill is all we got as I see things right now.
I somewhat agree, and yes id love home grown talent but you cant take a kid 2nd round, and a kid in his 2nd year who never had a TC last year and throw em in and expect instant success. You gotta have some vets in there as well. Im slightly agreeing with GMC and i love our situation at WR, but i dont think its completely stupid to bring in another vert WR just for inssurance
How can you be for grooming in house talent and at the same time discount 90% of our receiving core before they set foot on the field for a pre-season game? In 8 days we'll know a lot more about where our WRs are then we do now, everything until then is just speculation. I think people need to take into serious consideration the type of competition our WRs are facing every day in camp.
A vet like T.O whos in phenominal shape let him push the rookies. T.O knows what it takes to get the job done in the NFL. He would put up better numbers than Plax did in 2011. That was a joke.
They are on the sidelines how can they prove anything to anybody. This is the NFL and its all about competition.
You honestly don't think anyone but Holmes and Hill are going to be healthy enough to play by next Friday? That would concern me, and if they don't address something at that point we're in trouble. However I don't see any of these injuries as that serious ( maybe kerley's but haven't heard definite ) Our WRs will see plenty of time against the Bengals, and we'll know more about what we have as a team then. If we're still lacking, and or not impressed with what we have then I could see us making a move to bring someone in for the final 3 weeks of preseason. But I'd much rather see our roster in action before counting players out.
