It'll never end with Jet fans and Jon Vilma. He had one good fuckin' season (2004). Vastly overrated player. Rip me all you want, it's the truth.

He had a greater football mind than Herm, that's for sure.

132 tackles last year - not too shabby. Bottom Line when a coach knows how to use a player it makes a remarkable difference.

Obviously they all did. How could the scouting staff and Tannenbaum draft and trade for a player without consulting with the head coach first. Probably Mangini had the biggest hand in it so that he could get the players that he needed to fit his system. Tannenbaum was the biggest factor in getting the players from the other teams but how could Mangini not have the biggest say in which players he wanted?

Tackles are an overrated and unofficial stat. Sam Cowart NYJ 2003, 140 tackles. Terrible season.

He recruited Scott from the grave. Actually, we also have Mangini to thank for Sanchez. Without his love for Kenyon and Ratliff we wouldn't have got him.

I've come to realize that it's next to impossible for you to post in a thread without using the word "fuck" at least once...
