What cracks me up about the media is how they jinx things. How many times have you heard how a FG kicker has never missed followed by a miss? In today's Pats game, the announcer mentioned how Mac Jones had not turned the ball over all game before a play. As you would expect, Mac Jones fumbles the ball on the that play (LOL).
Ok, sounds like you need therapy. I had the same feeling about the Yankees concerning my Red Sox. I used the movie A Bronx Tale and Sonny's quote as my therapy: "Mickey Mantle? Is that what you're upset about? Mickey Mantle makes $100,000 a year. How much does your father make? You don't know? Well, see if your father can't pay the rent go ask Mickey Mantle and see what he tells you. Mickey Mantle don't care about you, so why should you care about him? Nobody cares." to help get over my neurotic feelings concerning the Red Sox being the Yankee's bitch!
I tried replying in earnest, but I got tired. If a picture of ONLY three or four white guys celebrating in an NFL end zone isn't a rare and ironically amusing thing for you, that's fine. Have a nice day.
That's what I thought you were implying, but I wanted to make sure. Because at my age and dotage, I don't always comprehend what younger folks are implying sometimes. Yes, it is amusing and ironic.
I disagree on the dolphins being overrated takes. They are a good team, very controlled and balanced on offense. They are for real The Bills and Eagles games were road games, those are tough for anyone to win
That's hardly the logic that was presented. The first poster states that the Dolphins are a good team but overrated based on the outcomes of the games they played - losing badly to superior teams while beating the inferior teams. That's all. Nothing about the Dolphins not being a good team was said.
History shows the Pats willl trade down and pick a mediocre DE, two practice squad WRs and a P. Then they'll win the division 3 times in a row with guys they sign off the waiver wire.
I am not saying the Dolphins are a bad team. But if they beat the Jets, then the Jets are not a good team, since they lose to good teams.
Or it could just be when a streak is ongoing they are going to talk about it, the longer the streak the more the talk, until one day the streak gets broken, a streak they happened to have been talking about since it had gone on so long, so once again people can claim they jinxed it by talking about it.
Since the Jets are 3-3, your argument is difficult to beat. However, their schedule does get a bit easier, so I can see them having a winning record and making the playoffs. Besides I cannot see them losing to my Pats again. A 7-4 record puts them in the playoffs, I think. But with the way injuries goes anything can happen.
