Sorry C doubtful Rockaway would have worked. Having lived there (beach 86th st) The only egress/exit was the Marine Pkwy Bridge or the Cross Bay Blvd Bridge or via the 5 towns in Long Island:mad:

Yep that 16-15 game was very exciting. My seats at Shea was 1st row of the mezz deck right behind the NYJ bench which made it more exciting watching the NYJ players reaction to winning the game :)

They almost did it again against the Browns that year. They would of gotten into the playoffs had they hung on.....

That Denver game was the Jets biggest fourth quarter comeback for a victory for years up until the midnight miracle.

And they had to hang on until an old Jim Turner ( SB III leading scorer) missed a long FG attempt at the end...

'cept your 'FU' quote was solely directed to me, not "anybody else." No problem mind you, I just wanted to remind you of that simple fact you conveniently (and continually) ignore, your majesty..

That was his lone shining light. He inflated every team sack numbers. He caused our best receiver to retire early. He suffers to this day. He had a big arm and no mobility hence the enormous amount of sacks he took. Some fans will gloat that he was tough and that was why he held onto the ball so long. But that doesn't fly. If nothing is open throw it away. But he took sacks put the team in bad field goal range or better field position for the opposing team.

I think it is interesting that the Jets and Dolphins played in the AFC Championship Game with Richard Todd and David Woodley and then just months later drafted their replacements in Ken O'Brien and Dan Marino. You normally don't see that with teams in the AFC Championship Game or Super Bowl. Both must have made it to the title game for other reasons besides QB play.

Marino with Walker, Toon and Shuler could have been great.

The team was stacked on both sides of the ball.

It was a signature you thick arse, what is the matter with you, get up and dry your eyes you fucking baby.

If I wanted to say "fuck you" to you I would tell you in a quote direct and not in a signature, I thought the ensuing row with the other guy would be all you needed to see for proof of that.

Oh and you are half right, I did edit it from the usual "Fuck you Dan Marino" to "Fuck you Dan Marino fan boys" but that was in anticipation of the influx of Dan Marino cock suckers that usually infest any thread about Ken O'Brien.

Sad fuckers living in world that didn't exist,

So don't be so precious my dear and get over it, now get up off your knees you're dismissed and fuck you Joe for taking life on a message board so serious.

I saw that game and it was amazingly exciting!!! Both Ds had trouble stopping the other team's offense. O'Brien and Walker we spectacular in that game! It was so great to drive that stake into Don Shula's heart!

The beating he took definitely altered his play. The OL was definitely below average or crappy, but O'Brien also held onto the ball way too long and caused quite a few of his own sacks. He seemingly was averse to throwing the ball away. Walton tried to get him to do that, but he couldn't or wouldn't. By one of his last years, maybe his last year, it was painful to watch him. About any time an opposing defender came near him, he'd flinch. There was one game where the Jets had the ball inside the 5 yard line, and Kenny could have run it in. He was never fast, but had good size, and he probably could have scored. He got to the 1 or 2 yard line however, saw a defender coming up to hit him, and he basically flinched and braced for the hit, and didn't score.

Matt that's interesting because I would swear I remember Walton trying get O'Brien to cut down on the sacks and to throw the ball away. I don't understand why Walton would have had O'Brien hold onto the ball, when I continually killed them.

I agree about signing Boomer and giving him Kenny O's jersey number with Kenny still on the team. Classless and cold.
