Hahaha, the only thing that beats 'Awesome intelligent comeback' is a racist comment that's 1500 miles from correct! You just insulted everyone but me! Thanks, ginger!
Man, you had to tell him I was a Swede! Now he's going to be spending the next 3 days on Google trying to figure out a decent Swedish racist insult.
I love you geniuses. Let me see... In order for that to be effective, the opposing team would have to use the identical signals from game to game. How many ex coaches have said that's unlikely because teams expect their signals to be compromised, and thus change them frequently. We didn't play the Carolina Panthers in 2003. We did play them in 2001. So I guess their coaches used the same signals in the SB in 2003 that they used back in 2001? We didn't play the Eagles in 2004, but we did play them in 2003. I guess once again, despite coaches being paranoid about their signals being compromised, the Eagles used the same signals in the SB that they used against the Pats at the beginning of previous season? Look, I think what BB did after the league sent out the memo was wrong. I even thought he should have been suspended for a few games. I doubt that before the memo, only the Pats were doing this. The NFL sent the memo out to all teams after all. If I were a fan of another team, I'd be all over this too. But people act like stealing signals was illegal. TAPING signals is illegal. You could hire an army of folks with binos to write down signals and that would be OK. Any signals caught on the normal video film are fair game. DO YOU THINK THAT PLAYERS HAVE THE SIGNALS ERASED FROM THEIR MEMORIES WHEN THEY ARE CUT AND JOIN ANOTHER TEAM? Do you think that's why they change signals frequently? Geez, the Jets really needed Kevin O'Connell.... Wonder why so many of our players join the Jets after being cut?
Do all you Patriot fans down play the cheating? Answer me this if ex-coaches say they expected their hand signals to be compromised/stolen why did Belicheat continue to collect a slew of videotape footage of other teams hand signals? Is it because he is the same loser coach from the Browns and knew he needed to get an edge over the competition? Do you find it odd that teams struggled whenever they had to play the Patriots twice in one season. I vividly remember the Steelers handing the Patriots their a$$es to end their 21 game win streak but when it came time to play them in the playoffs Hines Ward made a comment before spygate was even uncovered that "it was like they knew our plays." Sounds like some cheating going on there. Or the time Roidney Harrison was hurt and the Steelers trainers came out to the field to help and Belicheat said get the hell away from my player. Was it possible he was wired? Hmmmmmm! How about Ernie Adams in the press box can you tell me what exactly he does. He has no football experience, no college experience, no high school experience but he sits in the Patriots press box using his photographic memory. Sounds like the cheating is still going on but their are no rules against using guys with photographic memories. Belicheat was and will always be a freakin' loser. Go Jets!!!!!!
A little sour grapes aluminum man? We've seen how bad BB is after the video incident... It was stupid to risk the teams reputation for something of so little value. As for your Steelers getting hammered the second time, well perhaps good coaching has something to do with that. Perhaps studying the NFL's game film has something to do with that. When you started talking about Rodney being wired and Ernie Adams you went into the nut case file.
Put me wherever you want but you still haven't answered the question. What does Ernie Adams do for the Patriots? Find it ironic that once coaches leave the Patriots organization they become inept (i.e Crennel, Weis, McDaniels, Mangina). Cheating is a way of life up in beanotwn. Just like my signature "cheating since the snowplow game".
I love how every Spygate "defense" by our resident Pats* trolls fails to mention that the NFL took away a first round choice from Belly and Co. for cheating, a punishment that had never been handed down before, after investigating Mangini's charges. Instead, we get "the league sent out a memo to all teams about it!!!"
Ask any Redsox fan, oops! Patriot fan and they say "everyone was doing it". "It didn't change the outcome of the game." Ask them why do it then? You will never get an answer. Not much we can do about it now, thanks Goodell, except slap a big ole' pasterisks********next to years 2001-2007.
After the incident he took the best team in football history and with two weeks to prepare Tom Coughlin tuned him into his bitch. That was a year after Manning bitch slapped him and a year after a crappy Denver team bitched slapped him. Since Pat cought cheating Steelers two rings Pats zero.
Or perhaps it was for doing something so stupid that they had been specifically told not to do, that for some reason made people fly off the handle around the nation. It made others on the outside question the legitimacy of the game, and was really bad p.r for the league. The perception is just as important as the real thing. If people really want to think that the Pats dominated the league by videotaping guys waving their arms and holding up signals and magically "cracking" some code before telling all the players about it mid-game, they can go ahead. Why they wouldn't just have someone on the sideline watching signals and telling everyone "they're doing this now" is totally beyond me, but I guess you're right. If you actually think the league has no integrity yet continue to spend hours posting on message boards devoted strictly to it, you suck.
I was with you earlier in the thread but you lost me on this one SteelerFan. Didn't New England lose Corey Dillon right at the start of that game and have to go with just Kevin Faulk the whole day in that first game? And in the rematch I seem to recall Roethlisberger staring down his receivers and throwing in to coverage, just making awful decisions all game long. As for Harrison injury, I thought it was just as odd that the Steelers trainers were so eager to go out and help; since when do other team's trainers do that? And if they were going to wire somebody why would it be a defensive back; it would make a lot more sence to wire a lineman. While Ernie Adams never played the game he's probably far more qualified than most NFL assistants; he's been a coach for over thirty years. Probably very good at finding weaknesses and tendencies in opponents at this point, I would guess. Take off your tinfoil hat and admit you got beat like a man. You got two championships in four years, you have no excuses for your whining.
Ginger? It's ok I'm blonde and blue eyed. Do fans of every team believe that the Patriots cheated their way to Super Bowls? They won titles because they were better than everyone else. For you dumb Steeler fans out there, the Pats beat you in every single AFC title game fair and square. I still have visions of Rodney Harrison returning a TD back on Big Ben and Troy Brown dancing in the end zone. It really affected the Pats with the first round draft choice taken away? You people are unbelievable. Let's leave Brett Favre off the injury list a bit more shall we?
