Rex has already put himself in a situation where he will be trapped his entire coaching career. If he keeps talking (as he should) he will always be bashed by oppsoing fans (mainly Giants fans...who are classy and won the SB in 2007...in case anyone has forgotten). If he ever stops talking the same people will bash him for changing who he is and being influenced by what people say. He is who is and as long as he is a HC and has a podium to speak from hes going to yap. Jet fans who complain about it need to stop acting like fucking women. I know what your saying and it very well be just him being himself, but the reality is his bravado is taking some of the focus off his players. Which probably reinforces him letting himself say whatever he wants to.
Anybody ever see Rex interviewed away from football? I have. Saw him last year on the Colbert repor.... He is not the same guy. He's intelligent, funny, self deprecating. I think he's a very good coach. I also think that this schtick he's been doing since he arrived is to put in a competitive factor each week and these latest statements are no different. I doubt that Turner and the Bolts will lose focus over it but if even one player or one coach thinks about those statements just a little then their focus is off by just that much. It doesn't always work but its worth a shot and Rex takes those shots. It is what it is.
I agree with you. I don't give a fuck about any other team in the NFL except my team. All those other asshole fans on the other 31 teams can kiss my ass and suck my balls while they are down there. I like how people bash our team and our fanbase saying we're the worst when you got those uninformed dickheads up in New England who just started watching football, those faggots in Miami who are outnumbered by opposing fans week in and week out (I live in Florida, so I know), those chola Raiders fans who know an awful lot about stabbing but couldn't tell you the difference between a screen pass and a streak route and the Philadelphia fans who love to spew all over little kids at games and throw batteries at everything that moves. Basically what I'm trying to get at is that everyone thinks their shit doesn't smell and they like to look down on us like we're total douchebags when in fact they are just as bad, if not worse than we can be. Hell, we've been with our team through good and bad, there aren't many franchises outside of the Jets, Lions, Niners, and Browns who have fans who still show up and are passionate about their teams. When the Patriots fade back into mediocrity that stadium will be a fucking ghost town and that's a fucking fact. So fuck everyone and the horses they've been riding in on, because quite frankly I couldn't careless if they like what Rex says, how he conducts business, what our players say, or how we as fans act.
