I was pretty high on DHB but I've since grown more interested in other prospects.

    Call me a clown then.

You read way, way more into my quote. Respond to what I write- not what I didn't write.

DHB over Britt anyday...I know Britt might be the better route runner but his speed is not enough. DHB will open the field up at 6'2 and 4.3 speed

  6. I think DHB is better than he is getting credit for.

IMO he made alot more plays than guys like Troy Williamson in college. Everytime I watched Maryland, he made a big play. I believe he suffered from poor QB play around him.

W/ that said, he doesn't belong anywhere near the top 15. The 17th pick is ironically the first spot(solely by value) I'd consider. More likely, he belongs somewhere around pick 30 or so.

Keep an eye on him. I think if he goes to the right team..he can be a true # 1 WR in this league.

Do you think that the Jets are one of those teams?

Troy Williamson made a ton of huge plays for USC. 28.9 AVG per catch as a freshman -- almost 500 yards on just 17 catches.

He also suffered from awful QB play and from a run happy offense under Skip and Lou Holtz.

the biggest knock on DHB is that he is soft. He wont go over the middle. as a rule, you do NOT draft a guy in the first round that you dont believe is good enough to start for you, at least down the line. The Jets need a true #1 WR, so if we draft one in the first, he kinda has to have that potential.

I just don't place a high value on WRs relative to other positions and I don't think our staff does either. Nothing really against DMB. Personally I think he is raw with a lot of upside but a high bust factor too. WRs tend to be hard to scout based on recent drafts.

Just how soft is DHB? He looks tough running with the ball, is he really that soft over the middle?

He may not be able to run every route and he may not be for every team, but I think he will be a valuable player. Willie Gault wanted to play in a tuxedo and he was a valuable player on great Bears teams and good Raiders teams.

I had no interest in Troy Williamson. I don't think Heyward-Bey is another Williamson.

    Only time will tell.

When a guy can do stuff like this, the interest won't go away. He's got Reggie Bush's speed in TO's body.

eddie royal was not thought of as a workout warrior at all. And to me, eddie royal was productive, but he's not a number one receiver. And by the way, Eddie Royal was taken with the 46th pick, not the 17th. there is a huge difference.

If DHB is there with our second rounder, then yeah I'm for it. But with the #17, he is definitely not worth it.

Eddie Royal was taken where he was appropriately valued.

There is not a great disparity, athletically, between Heyward Bey and the other top receivers in this draft, as hyped as his athleticism is. There is, however, a huge productivity gap and that's not something to ignore.

Maryland was definitely a run first team, because they have a great running back and mediocre quarterback play, but that really doesn't justify two 100 yard receiving games in two years for a guy who's deemed first round.

I'm inclined to think this guy is going to be more R Jay Soward than Randy Moss.

he is very talented that is for sure. and he does have the hops and is tall enough to be a nice WR in the NFL. I would still prefer Maclin but if he is gone and we go with DHB over Harvin I would be happy about it.

If he's there at 52 we could take a flier on him
