Newsflash: Great teams are built over time. No team becomes great overnight. That's essentially what you're expecting out of this team.

    1) Our defense has a ton of room to grow. By no means has this defense hit its ceiling. Get Kris Jenkins back, add a dynamic pass rusher, some DL and DB depth and you've got a terrifying defense.

    2) While the Jets have a solid foundation in place, its not complete. Are the Saints or Colts under new systems like the Jets? I know the Colts have a new coach but he essentially has picked up where Dungy left off. If we picked up where Mangini left off we'd be worse off than we are right now.

Take a chill pill and understand where the Jets are now vs where they are going. The now or never attitude is not only incorrect, but is only going to serve to ruin your own experience.

The best rushing team and best defense in football gets this team to AT LEAST 9-5. The ONLY way they are not 9-5 is if our QB gives games away for us.

We lose every week because our own QB beats us.

    AM I WRONG?

Why don't you put yourself into a self-induced Coma then wake up in 2011 and watch Sanchez play?

It's one thing to hate on Sanchez, but to tell us Clemens would be more productive? Especially after seeing his incredible shittyness @TB and fucking up a FG attempt today, pure hilarity.

Clemens missed a checkdown pass with the target 4 yds away from him.

Guys like Bart Scott, Shaun Ellis, and Byron Thomas are not getting younger, I'm just so sick of Mark Sanchez wasting this team away, he costs us the game almost every week, I get sick just watching him go back to pass.

I cant help it guys, everytime he changes the play its BS, and everytime he goes back to pass I get sick because I know what he's about to do.

Yes because you assume that because we have the No.1 rushing attack that we are guaranteed great yds of rushing each time. Fact is teams aren't blind and WILL clamp up with people up front to stop the run and make the QB beat them. So when the rushing game is done, where will Clemens go next?

Look losing Leon was the big blow to the offense because he would catch the RB screens and make magic out of nothing......the Schotty offense is all about checkdowns and making short yds and hoping that tackles are broken fr even bigger yds. Thats an offense and recipe that will not work, especially if you are without the biggest playmaker of the offense(Leon)

    You are wrong.

We've also lost games because of our defenses inability to make clutch stops despite the numbers.

We've also lost games because of our offenses tendency to make stupid penalties at the worst times possible.

We've also lost games because our special teams has failed at various points.

We've also lost because our offensive coordinator hasn't utilized the talent on offense to the best of their ability - generating a product that not only underachieves but gives absolutely no cover to the defense and special teams when they do make mistakes.

Football is a team game. Sanchez owns some of the blame, but he's not the sole reason for us losing, nor should he be replaced. The team isn't ready yet and this experience will serve to make him better moving forward.

Dude what the heck are you talking about.

Do me a favor, and think about this for a second. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be 7-7 when you have the best rushing team and best defense in football.

BUT SOME HOW WE ARE? Why? Because of Mark Sanchez!

Ok, your saying that Kellen Clemens played well enough in the last 2 weeks to beat a good team? Did you watch last weeks game? He could barely hit any receivers. Sanchez put us in a position to get 3 field goals today, all of which could have been converted. He actually made a lot of good throws in tight spots and his interceptions really didn't kill us. He made a lot of good decisions throwing the ball away also.

Yeah but Clemens is also shitty. There's no way the Jets would be better with Clemens as the starter. Isn't that what you're saying in this thread?

Bro, its not about whos the QB. ITS about not turning it over!!

    Get that through your head!

You guys dont get it! We dont need a QB to win us games, we need him to manage them! Our defense and running game will win it for us!!!

You do understand, do you not, that turning the ball over 3 times including the last time with the game on the line is not how you win football games ?

You have to throw the ball to win. They stacked the box today and did a very good job of stopping Thomas Jones. The only way we got points was from a 65 yard bomb to Edwards. Why don't you get that through your head.
