Personally I would keep the like button, but also add a dislike button. It would reduce the urge to cuss out some of the posters on here.
You can replace it in a couple of weeks with a "You're a fucking mormon" button with all these guys converting for Wilson.
Can't do dislikes or negative rep because it is a proven phenomenon online that a few douchebags will decide to team up, create alt accounts, and drive people off of a message board by disliking every post they make. I don't remember the first time I saw this in play but I know by 2010 or so all the negative rep sites had changed their policies because they noticed their traffic went WAY down when a few douchebags decided to paddle people on the site.

That might work in the favor of the quality of the board if a couple are driven away. In all honesty I don't think I've ever seen so much ball gargling of posters on fellow posters since I've been here. I started posting here as a teenager and I used to get chewed up and spit out routinely. Now it's a suck off fest of complimenting everyone's football knowledge.
