The no playoffs any time soon is just bullshit though. You can turn things around in a year in the NFL if you do things correctly. They need to start winning games next year or this is gonna get messy again
You can't be serious!!!!! You're speaking as if every situation is the same, and that one can just use the same cookie cutter approach, and then everything is rosy. That's ridiculous, and nothing could be further from the truth. This organization was a total clusterfuck when JD was hired. The whole organization is undergoing being revamped and improved. The Jets' roster was the worst in the NFL, bar none. The scouting, drafting, FA signings, had been terrible for 10 years or more. The cupboard was pretty much bare. None of Ozzie Newsome, Ron Wolff or whomever you think are the greatest GMs in the history of the NFL could have fixed this clusterfuck of a team in one year, particularly when they were a peer of the HC, and his 1st year he wasn't even hired until after FA and the draft had already happened , and not with the clueless owners we have!!!!! By the time JD gets this team turned around, there will likely be 20 new starters. The only returning starters from before when he was hired will be Quinnen Williams and maybe CJ Mosely. The only starters we had that were worth a crap were Adams, Crowder, Mosely, Q. Williams, and Maye. We know that Adams didn't want to be here and wasn't worthy anywhere near the money he thought he deserved.
Im a Douglas fan. Im also a patient Jets fan. Doesn’t mean I can’t expect more of the team. It’s their mentality every year - they’re ok with losing. Oh, we didn’t get blown out. Fuck that. Start winning games. JD and Saleh are almost definitely getting 2 more years but they’re going to have to show SOME progress this year and next.
It's just such a shit product year after year I'm surprised there are any fans left. Put a quality product on the field for once. Its like watching a shitty movie and then watching all the shitty sequels as it bombs at the box office.
