i used to hate when people did this. but at this point, i don't blame anyone. I'm personally holding onto my fancard for dear life. This bullshit is getting really old.
This is sort of where I'm at. I don't think I'm watching another game rest of season. The Jets ruin football for me and ruin my Sundays.
I dont know man, the Gase years were really bad. This whole staff is young but reality check is hitting them. Need to see how they overcome adversity during the long season. There are def no playoffs anytime soon. So just focus on improving where they can.
@graig.323 I get it. I can't blame any Jets fan who has been a fan longer than 2-3 years for being at this point, especially those who invested so much money into season tickets and parking etc. I'm at the point where if I don't see major changes in the way the team plays the rest of this season, and then don't see a change in at least the offensive staff, if not Saleh, too, then I am done, and once I walk away, it will be for good. I already am close to hating this team as much as I love them, and once I cross that threshhold and hate the team more than I love it, there's no going back and I'm done. Hang in there, and know that not all posters here blame you or criticize or condemn you for where you are.
I expect very little from the Jets anymore and rarely am I surprised. I'm starting to add more distance from them as the years drag on. I'm no longer a "fanatic". More or less a follower of the team. If they win? Great. If not? Life goes on. I have plenty of Sunday options so I can go do other stuff. It wasn't always like this but after so many years, I've learned to prioritize my weekends. When you know a crushing defeat is coming a week in advance, it's time to evaluate whether the Jets will ever be functional.
Definitely. I remember never missing a game. Now, it’s whatever. Do t get the games here, not going out of my way to see them either, until they make it worth my while.
We've already seen. You were done when Gase was hired. Yet here we are, three seasons later, and you continue to pollute this board all day, every day, like its your job. But go ahead and make my day, big shot.
That game would have turned anyone into a darksider for a few days/week. I don't blame anyone for being emotional. Don't worry, we'll win a trap game soon enough and it will be the sunny side, its all turning around...for a week.
I'm not quite there yet, maybe it's my age and not experiencing as much torture, failure, pain, and heartbreak as you and others have.
Nothing like having a upper cabin berth on the Titanic. You can see the iceberg from up there quite easily.
At the beginning of the season (and every season) I tell my wife not to schedule any social events on Sundays. Usually, at some point during the season, depending on the Jets record, I'll tell her it's okay to schedule events. I just told her for this season. I'll watch the games on DVR if I'm not around. Being a Jet fan is like that guy who keeps banging his head against the wall. Asked why he does it? He responds because it feels so good when he stops. I imagine how good it will feel if the Jets finally put a winning team on the field. Just hope I'm alive to see it.
Hahaha, my wife just schedules them, she knows Jets stink and I will get up and just go and do whatever she wants to do when it’s this hopeless.
