I get your thinking behind it...but it's just silly to think that winning a Super Bowl has any negative effect on him. If there is any hint of anything negative about it....everything else far outweighs whatever it is. I started out not being an asshole...sorry after the thread turned a bit I had to turn into a dick as well.
People always joke that if the Jets won the superbowl there would be Jets fans pointing out the negatives from the game or season. I never thought I'd see someone imagine the hypothetical scenario with predetermined negatives already included. This is ground breaking stuff.
Every time I post on here I feel like I've gotta cover every angle of what I didn't mean, just so they don't attack me. I'm sayin this, but don't interpret it like this...
You are correct about his work ethic, so I think you answered your own question. He's still very young, and has so much potential for years to come. He'll just work harder to be the best IMO. He's certainly not peaking in his sophomore year. In your scenario the very worst case would be us winning a Super Bowl, I'll take it!
If a quarterback is handed the keys to your franchise as a rookie and he wins a Super Bowl in his second year, he doesn't think "OK, I'm done now." He thinks "I might be able to go to the Hall of Fame."
Just out of curiousity, OP, how many qb or nfl players can you list which decided to "tank it" after winning a superbowl? Either a troll opening post or you're a victim of some extreme paranoia.
This /no offense...kinda dumb post OP //nothing wrong with having nothing to say as long as you don't insist on saying it
