may as well... I don't know the details of future salaries in his contrast, but I'm assuming it's already sunk cost now due to signing bonus. Hopefully cap hit isnt much next season
His knee just went south on him again. Not sure you could get a bag of peanuts for Becton now. This is where a NFL minor league organization or using that alternative league as a minor league would come in real handy. They could park Becton there until his knee can handle the load.
I think the only option available is for Becton to rehab (again) under close supervision so that he may return for the final year of his rookie deal as the cost is committed. If he can get to any level, presumably as a year 4 back-up, then there may be a team benefit. I see limited options for year 5 and fear, regrettably, that he will be unable to get back.
The question should be: "what's the best you can get for Becton?" Frankly, he's probably worth no more than a 3rd round pick at this point. Maybe 4th round. He can't be relied upon as a starter b/c he's too injury prone. If he's still on the Jets next season, he'll be a backup and not a starter. Having said all this, JD has pulled off some miracle trades.
I see that but someone else beat you to that particular typo here a decade or so ago and it has since become a local favorite.
I had no ideal the #RevisionistHistory was already trending. It may not have been original but it’s definitely witty and absolutely appropriate.
