Have you ever had any luck calling? I have a grunt tube and rattle pack but i never had any real luck. I've had a few young bucks come in but i can't say for sure it was because anything i did.
I have no idea what this is but it doesn't sound right. Like something you'd break out when you're getting the Gimp. _
I just got a grunt tube this year, never used one. I *think* I've lured them in with fake antlers, you never know for sure I guess.
I heard about this on NPR last night: I neither hunt, own guns nor dig on swine, but I would do that in a heartbeat.
I just slice it into about quarter inch thick medallions, salt & pepper, butter pan and do about 2 minutes per side on high heat. simple and delicious
Apparently wild boar are extremely destructive to crops in that part of Texas and the farmers will try almost anything to get rid of them. Not that that looks to be a particularly effective eradication strategy. l
So I've been using my grunt tube when I walk the dog the last couple of days, hoping to get some bucks interested in the area. This morning a doe came into the back field looking interested in the area where I had been grunting about 5 minutes earlier. It could have just been a coincidence but she sure seemed interested in the grunts. I'll take the doe for the meat but I want the big buck.

They are just starting to work their way into Nebraska from Kansas now. They can destroy hundreds of acres of corn, beans or other row crops in a few weeks. They need to be eradicated. Im pretty sure that the average sow can produce up to 6 young at multiple times per year and they can breed year round and the young mature to where they can breed within 6-8 months. They are extremely destructive, and they can weigh over 300lbs and run fast enough where if they hit you, they can injure you pretty bad or even kill you.
