big buck, think he is only 3 1/2 years old. doesn't look like an older deer. first time on camera, not sure if he is passing through or sticking around yet. product review, wildgame lighning to sd card reader. card reader plugs into your iphone and lets you check your camera on your phone. love this thing, works off of a free app.you can move files to phone or from phone to sd card. nice checking a camera without another card to swap out. worth the $40. tried a moultrie version with no luck. not sure about the android versions
My dad has had a hell of a fall with his trail cam out on our land in SW NY. You guys might like these Coyote in August A couple bears in September A young buck He says this is a fisher cat. Idk what do you think
@BrowningNagle that’s definitely a fisher. Cool animals, vicious as hell though. An old man told me they are born pissed off and it gets worse from there. Great nite time videos, what brand camera is that?
I don't know what brand his camera is. I will find out though. that's crazy about the fisher cat. The thing is that these videos don't even cover much ground, I mean they are in slightly different places but really not that far apart (or far from the road/house really). I can't believe there is so much back there. perhaps all those different types of animals is the reason we go turkey hunting and never see a damn turkey!!
That's a good sized Fisher. Their pelts are worth a good buck if you can trap them. You can't hunt them in NYS.
Turkeys are down throughout the state. Predators and bad nesting weather the last few springs hit them pretty hard.
$37 last year. I don’t trap but from the articles I saw, way down as were all furs. Russia’s economy is a driving force in the fur market.
Oh wow, last time I looked into it they were over $100, but that was probably a couple of years ago. Probably you know who's fault.
Slow here so far. Warm weather and a full moon bad mix. I have that giant buck 4 out of 5 days on the farm though, he is close. Next week I have 5 days to sit in him. If it don’t happen then he wins.
a family friend harvested one those bears I showed you guys in the trail cam. Guy paid 1000s of dollars a couple years ago on a bear hunting trip in Canada and didn't see a thing. Then both of those 2 bears walked right by him at the very place he's been hunting for a decade. He's deadly with the bow
so weather is finally turning better and starting to see some big bucks taken. i got 5 more hunts with the bow before the guns come out. had a doe cross me up last week.planned on shooting her but she was bleating and looking around like she was leading a buck around. let her go and the trailer never showed up. greed kills
Looks like I might finally be able to get out Friday with the crossbow - hopefully the weather cooperates.
down to 4 hunts.couple of fawns early in the afternoon, then, and this a no shit type story. decide it is too dark to shoot, lower the bow grab my back pack and a deer comes flying in and runs right past my stand. 30 seconds later hear more running and another deer, a buck is running right at my tree and stops inches from my bow hanging from its rope. small buck, i could make out the rack once he stopped right under me. thought i was going to lose my bow for a second. now this guy, video was taken friday from the trail camera. monday night, a friend sees him driving home, still has the branch stuck in his rack.
