Hard to tell yet, Shotty doesn't dial up to many passes outside the hash marks in the intermediate area where a big time arm makes a huge difference. It's certainly adequate to run Shotty's O.
i laughed at his hail mary pass... and also Romo is not a 5. Kerry Collins and Kurt Warner are 5's. i voted 7
This poll is rather appropriate. I was listening to Tony Bruno on the radio last night and he ripped into some douchebag Jet fan who called in and said that he's happy with the team but Sanchez is terrible. He called him a weak armed QB and said that Henne's the real deal, but Sanchez is going to hurt this team. Unfortunately, Tony took it as an opportunity to assume that ALL Jet fans feel that way. I agree with the 7s.
I think he's got good arm strength and great aim. I think down the line it will be like having our Dream Pennington. He already plays beyond his years, just wait for those years that he's playing beyond that he's actually playing in them and then beyond these farther years.
Or start Kellen Clemens. Seriously, Sanchez is a ROOKIE. He is only going to get better. Not to mention, he has played pretty well. Anyone thinking Henne is better than Sanchez is crazy right now. It was one game and Sanchez played well.
WHO ARE YOU AND WHY CAN'T I CLICK YOUR PROFILE!? Also, I think he has a 7 or 8. He needs to wear gloves or something to keep the ball in there tho.
Yes it will be extremely scary, I guess like what a writer once said a Pennington plus and I have absolutely nothing wrong with that, as long as the o-line is in tact we can keep him healthy for years and years to come the dude is so smart It's nice to finally have stability at the QB position, btw i'd give him a 7.5 on arm strength, couple years down the line that could go to 8.5
I never really thought about that and it's a great point, he is only 22 years old, he's done growing height wise but I'm sure he will fill in a little more and get better mechanics...he could increase it a 1 or 1.5 on this scale. (I'd say he was a 7-8 now....could eventually get it to a 9)
Sanchez has a good arm and about the hail mary it looked like when he scrambled he kinda threw slightly off balanced and didnt get everything on it.
Romo isn't a 5. I think he might have a stronger arm than Rivers. I'd say Sanchez is about average.. there are a lot of QBs who look like they'd have him beat in that dept., so maybe a 5-6.
I am wondering if that last second hail mary throw predicated this thread? If so, I dont think thats a good judge. He obviously didnt get everything behind that throw. The ball fluttered coming out his hand. Kind of like driving a golf ball, if you overswing, the ball goes 100 yards. If you swing nice &smooth, the ball goes 280 yards. I think he tried to overthrow that pass and the ball came out his hand wrong. Obviously he can make every throw. The TD pass to BE that was overturned proved that. That was an awesome pass that I doubt Pennington could make.
