Total Bust... Sanchez and Gholston busting so close together has to be the biggest draft fail in the history of the NFL. These two losers set this organization back 10 years.
I'll remember Sanchez as the perfect quarterback for the Jets. It is impossible to imagine a more perfect match for this franchise. How many times have the Jets looked good for a season or two, only to fall apart before our eyes? It always seems to end with an explosion, billowing smoke and a big hole at the quarterback position.
Yep. I'm going to remember Sanchez as the 4th QB in a row to come in and tease us with his best work early on and then leave without finishing the job. (Vinny, Chad, Favre, Sanchez) It's like a repetitive pattern at this point.
I'll remember the anxiety i felt as a fan each time he dropped back to pass, the surprise if it was completed, and the "I knew it" type of feeling when it was incomplete or intercepted. I'll always remember the Houston monday night game watching with my wife and calling the red zone interception exactly correct right before the play, saying to her, watch, he'll throw a key pick right here. I don't remember exactly where it turned so south for him last year, but this last season and a half has erased the good memories I had from Years 1 & 2.

I feel the exact same way...each pass seemed more likely to be intercepted than complete. I will, however, remember the combacks against the Texans, Lions, being at the OT game in Cleveland, and beating the Pats in the playoffs as well. Most of all, I will remember him as the latest reminder that these are still the same old Jets.
As an untalented player who was successfully minimized on good football teams which had some success early in his career, but who was revealed to be one of, if not the worst players in history ever to play the position of starting QB when he was asked to take off the training wheels and play the position for real. As a man completely bereft of talent and a discernible football skill set. As a player who was anointed the franchise QB of the NYJ who had done nothing, on any level, to warrant such a designation. This is why it is not enough for Sanchez to go. He represents a massive organizational failure as well. Sparano, Ryan, and Tannenbaum all need to be let go as well.
That feeling you experience when he drops back to pass are from 2 things: 1. MOST TURNOVERS IN THE NFL. They showed the stat just before his last two. He is alone with the most at 24! Crazy! 2. One of the lowest completion percentages. More than half his throws are incomplete and that includes the checkdowns and easy short dinks. That said, to answer the OP... ...Buttfumble.
