Again, read above. I don't see how we do that without stripping way too much off the cap this season. It's just not too terribly feasible unless someone can show me that it's possible to convert next year's roster bonus into THIS year's salary. I haven't been able to find it, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

As for TJ, I think we should let him play this season without giving him another penny to his contract. If he's afraid of getting cut, he should prove his worth on the field this year. If he can play like he did last season, he will earn himself another contract. Whether that contract is with the Jets is something we will have to wait and see.

I understand where he's coming from with his contract issues, but he should have thought of that when he signed his contract only 2 seasons ago. He played like shit his first season here (I know our line sucked) and he had a good season last year. Just shut up and play Thomas Jones. You are an aging RB and you need to prove that you can still play at a high level this season. You will get paid by somebody

Yep. That's the whole point right there. Who signs a contract with that kind of final year and then acts as though he doesn't know what's going to happen 2 years later? I could see him asking to deal with it after this season, but heading in? Damn.
