Nothing better than a tailgate when it is 85 and sunny. If anything it was to hot, imagine that.. Tailgate was excellent & it was good to meet some of the TGG boys. I'll have to hang for a little longer next time & how come noone told me Jeto was popping by?
Tailgate as Usual in 5H. Got there at 11 AM. People do not realize that you need to arrive (especially at Big games) EARLY. They start to direct traffic to other lots otherwise. had a Big Jug of Margaritas I mixed in the morning, was buzzed by noon and pissed off by 4:45! Also grilled up some steak sandwiches.
I found some nice people and as I said I would in my tailgate thread post...welcomed me in...very nice set of 4 couples with a TV of course..I brought some major grilled spice-rubbed wings..they did hamburgers and franks...not what we used to do but welcomed. I would enjoy visiting you 17A..In particular the Miami game ...being 4:15...great setup for extended tailgate...I went with my brother to the season opening Giants/Colts game(i got Dad's Jets tix 35 years ago...and he got his Giants)...Major tailgate with Pizzaman..has cookbook and a spot on the Giants Monopoly board.....and another person with a tailgate Cookbook...INTENSE food...all major foodgroups excepting veggies of course...unfortunately, NBC camera crew gloomed onto em and grubbed all day...and I think yesterday was classic early season tailgate weather...PERFECT!

turnpike south to 14a bayonne exit. bayonne bridge martin luther king jr expressway to the Staten Island expressway to the Verrazano Bridge. Verrazano to the belt. no traffic at all. I'm not sure of the belt on sunday nites though.
The Belt is usually pretty full on sunday evenings,but after a 415 game it should be no problem. even after a 1pm game,unlike the GW way,atleast the Belt moves,even if its slow.

thanks. oh shit I forget to tell you guys.before I went in 3 guys and 3 girls walked up and just started hanging out with us.one guy was an eagle fan and being quite annoying.the plopped down in front of the TV's taking all the good chairs.so I decided they where too comfortable so I flipped the eagles fan and his girl right out of the chair.he was quite upset and I kicked them out. as he is leaving he tells me he will see me again.I said why not NOW???!!!!!! but everyone started grapping me and my cook Dom started pushing him and he just left . so I serenated him with a EAGLES FAN,HOMO chant that was thunderous.
damn,we must have went in right before that. I wonder if the Pats enjoyed their after game meal of raw sausage.
