    Yeah but then in theory, Chad can line up 1 foot away from the sideline and step out instantly :up:

    Doesn't that immediately take the passing game out of the equation? I didn't think a player, who voluntarily walked out of bound, could get a handoff (or pitch, or pass for that matter.) That means Dolphins are now playing with 1 man disadvantage, without downfield threat (unless Ronnie Brown can hit the WR downfield in his stride)

    It doesn't take the passing game out of the equation, it just takes a pass away to Chad. But let's be real here, if Pennington is lining up at reciever he isn't getting thrown to anyway. He'll draw a defender and that's all we need. But Abyzmul was talking about putting a linebacker on him instead of a corner which I assume can only mean one thing--hitting the piss out of Pennington. If you're Chad at WR and you see a LB you run for the sidelines and the D now has a LB way out of position

    I mean, there are a number of ways to counter the Wildcat but trying to injure the non-protected QB is probably not one of them.
