You think so? That would a great solution to RB for years to come. Davis is a great back, especially considering his prior circumstances. 3rd round or less for him would be a steal!

Not too many times you can look at someone like you can Bush and see a probowler, a gamechanger, someone so versatile that he creates mismatches no matter how the defense lines up. Last year I ate up the hype, and I wanted him badly.

Nevertheless I don't like him as much anymore, since history has proven that you can win with serviceable running backs, but you don't stand a chance w/o a top tier defense and top tier Oline. If we are truly trying to turn this ship around, we need to plan around making those two as dominant as possible. Sure I would love if Bush fell to us, be we are in no position to throw picks at the Texans, we need those picks badly.

Picture this in Green and White

I put this on another post but I think it's most approprite here. I am not generally for a trade up, but my thinking all along is that the only thing that makes sense in to go after Bush. I'll let him make the argument for me ...

Nothing- I don't believe the hype and he won't solve all that ails this team. To bundle everything into trading up for one guy, given all of the other holes this team has, is pure insanity...

Giving up two first rounders for Bush is nuts. I'd be willing to part with number 4 in the first and maybe a second rounder.

Bush is awesome and all but he can't block the speed rushers.. a RB can be addressed anytime. Remember how Denver traded away Portis and their running game didnt drop off at all when Droughns started

If Bush fell to # 4 I would take him. There is too much talent available to trade up for him.

I agree. At this point in the rebuilding process, to mortgage evrything you're trying to build on one player is insane. A trade like this would show Tangini's lake of experience. Stand pat and work with what you have to build a solid team. What good would Bush's stats mean if we're 4-12 next year. Nothing. I applaud bush's skills, I just we're not ready to give everything away. It's like having no groceries and $50 in your pocket. You can buy 2 $25 steaks because they look good. You can eat good for a day and starve later. Or buy enough store brand groceries for a few decent meals. It may not be sexy, but you won't starve. I'll take the ramen noodles ( 10 for $1 )over the steak. Twirling my fork while the showoffs starve.

I agree with this. Bush is such a special p . plus this could realistically happen because if they dont need bush and their guy is young, he will be available with the 4th overall pick that we would give them, plus they have another first rounder and then next years first rounder. Lets put it this way, if Jolley is worth a first rounder, Bush is no doubt worth 2. I say try as much as possible to put bush in a jets uniform next year and hope Justice falls to our 36th overall pick in the 2nd round

    Watch the damn video

Watch the damn video I posted above. I know we should stay put and I know our office will be practical, but if Barry Sanders is within reach you do what you can to get him on your team. Martin has been good for us for years but lets be honest he as never made defenses sweat. We've never has a guy like this on our team. We are not going anywhere in 2006, plug in the Hold-the-Fort linemen and give this guy a year to learn. Don't give me this wait till next year for a RB crap ... this guy is a future SUPERSTAR, end of discussion. I will give up alot to get him.

I wouldn't give up anything to move up for Reggie Bush. No RB is worth that much, unless that is your ONLY team need. RB is certainly not our only need.

I wouldn't give up our picks to get one guy. We have too many holes.
