After retiring to the booth with multiple NY Jets SB rings, the Bills will coax Gase out of retirement in an attempt to break their curse of 25 seasons w/o a PO win. Rex Ryan part deux.

After going 5 more years w/o a PO appearance, the Bills will fire Gase and replace him with Todd Bowles.

I wonder what team’s fanbase in 2028 will be saying Gase has to deal with the worst roster and the most injuries and that’s why the offensive guru has finished with yet another 32nd ranked offense.

    Edit: ours probably. Ugh.

I heard somewhere if you've went out to lunch with Peyton Manning you can put it on your resume and zoom to the top of any job posting

But, but I heard that some teams discussed trading their 3rd round pick for Gase. Those GM's should be given lifetime extensions for such forward thinking. What coulda been.

Is anyone else here bothered by Gase's voice as much as by what he says? I can't stand to listen to him. I wanted to hear what he had to say about our draft class, but couldn't even make it through one minute.

No one with a competent organization will hire him...

So probably the end of the road for the "guru" so he'll be a head coach as long as our dunce organization keeps him around.

    Worst hire since Kotite.

I predict Gase and Douglas leave to go to NE together when BB steps down.

None, either he succeeds with the Jets and doesn't coach anywhere else or he fails and never gets a HC job again.

History has shown that coaches who bomb in two places don't get many chances afterwards. At least not as head coaches. Gase's whole career hinges on this season IMO.

i think gase in typical jets fashion will do just good enough to not lose his job for longer than it should have taken. from 7-9 with a disgustingly easy schedule that if he had played this years schedule they would have won 3 games. to oh i dont know, i think they take a step back this year simply based upon schedule and go 6-10 but they wont fire him because they arent going to pay him 2 years to sit at home. then next year we will have a weaker schedule again go 8-8 or 9-7 and the future will be bright. followed by continued mediocrity for a couple seasons until darnolds window has passed.

yay jets management. why cant they just hire 1 fucking head coach i have some confidence in. since parcells left i havent liked a single coach we have had.

This is exactly my fear with Gase...just good enough to keep his job, but not good enough to win anything. The Jets will wast another 3-4 years, and then blow it all up and start again. It's like the NFL version of Groundhog Day, except over seasons.

2 teams: Dolphins and Jets. Gase/Douglas/Darnold are the new Belicheck/Brady. Expect many SB rings.
