We are making so much progress and we are now 22 mil under the cap. FA is completely open to us and we got plenty of draft picks too. 2006 will be our year, no doubt.
This team has a shot at the Playoffs next year. A legit shot. That's what I see. And we aren't even at the draft yet. Of course, health is important.
How do we view ourselves in the AFC East? With all the signings and releases in our conference...who's the next top AFC East team? I mean the Dolphins made some interesting plays through FA in acquiring Daunte. They already have seemed to have turned what looked like a hopeless team around last year under Nick Saban The Bills haven't made a big splash but still look half-decent with a strong running game but lost some defensive talent The Patriots lost receivers and one of the most dependable kickers in the league. Much less Mcginist and some other defensive talent. Don't really see them doing much better than last year. And finally the Jets, with our 1st round picks and other solid signings look like we can contend for the division title. Even at our rebuilding phase...you're not gonna tell me Mangini's not gonna try to win the division...especially games against the Patriots. All in all I still think the AFC East is still the most competitive conference and we have a pretty good chance to win it. The Dolphins might be the ones in the way this year.ricky williams
Until I can see that Daunte can revive his career for the first few games, the Pats still top my list. I easily see the Jets as a potential pick for 3rd. Bills haven't made any significant moves that would improve there team without losing more players at a bigger cost.
Patriots Dolphins Jets Bills Pats don't get removed from the top until they show that they can't do it anymore.
Well...we all agree on Buffalo being at the bottom, I think we'll be second no matter what the other teams end up as.
Ohh please don't even say it Roger. I can't bare any of us thinking that the Fins will take the AFC East this season. I'd rather it be the Pats again. But I guess I can understand you're paper approach. We still have too many question marks on our team.
Wow, Dino, this is still a bit early, isn't it? I hope you are right, but I have not begun to figure out what our chances are yet. I will say that if we were vying for something in December with a real shot at it, it would say an awful lot about our new FO and coaches. Look at the mess they all walked into after Herm left....................then look at us now.
When I opened this thread, I was going to say "I thought I saw this last year". Now I see that this thread was created in 2006. This is exactly the kind of stuff that makes the fans go ballistic when we lose a game.
