They need to restructure him THIS year or move him. He's WAY overpaid for what he gives you, has bad knees, and is not a good fit in the 3-4, which the jets will play. I would not be surprised if he is traded during draft week, or traded or cut after June 1. The new Front office refreshingly doesn't have Bradway's strubborn stupidity and expects players to earn their keep--just ask Mawae.

i think drob is a mix of bust/no bust thus far in his career. has he been dissappointing? yes, considering we traded two first rounders for the fourth overall pick to take him. has he played well? yes, with a capable tackle next to him he was able to cause some ruckus. remember, hes only played 3 years, and still has a lot of time to learn the game at this level. not everyone can come in and be dominant right away. now with a new coaching staff he will hopefully flourish

He really only has one more year to take form and I am a big Robertson supporter. I think it really hit him hard when he realized that instead of being a compliment to the presence in the middle (Ferguson) he had to BE the presence in the middle. Denny Marcin really let me down last year after he had the whole line playing great in 2004.

I just heard he restructured. I don't know the details. I don't think he lost money, it was probably just deferred to future cash. Again, I'm not positive.

DEWAYNE ROBERTSON is not a bust.

And considering his knee or knees which have no cartilage he has about 3 to 4 good years then start to decline.

Considering they traded 2 1st rd picks and a lot of cash for this guy, I'd say he's a BIG disappointment.

  13. D rob is the type of player who really flourishes in a Patriots type scheme. His unique size, burst of speed and power, could make him a bigtime asset. He is a match-up nightmare, and that is exactly what Mangini will try to do. Create matchup problems.

D rob had a pro bowl calibur year in 2004, but like the whole D regressed in 2005. He needs to bounce back or he could be gone by 2008.

Lets not forget that this year the JETS will have all new coachs and this year all the camps they attend will not be like going to a summer camp as a kid. I hope Mangini and his new crew whip these guys into shape so when we do play our first game of the season they are not sitting on their butts like in the KC game. I think with the right coach and training Dewayne Robertson will excel this year, This is just my opinion but how can Mangini be any worse then the HERM SUMMER DAY CAMP. Go Jets

With new coaches, can DRob be a dominating player? Of course. Yes, Herm's Hofstra Day Spa is officially closed, and that could change a lot of things.

Has he been disappointing so far? Yes. Honestly, people truly believe he has ever played with Pro-Bowl caliber? My personal opinion is not even close.

It depends what we do with out defence. He is not a nose tackle, so something will have to change if we go to a 3-4. He already had a bad kneee and telling him to put on weight to play Nose would probably make it worse. I can see him going elsewhere if he struggles this season. But I don't think he has been a bust.

This guy wouldn't be considered a bust if he was drafted in the late 1st round. However, he was definetly not worth us trading 2 1st rounders for him. By this standard he is a bust.
