They're solid...media loves hating on teams that lose to the Jets. Its just the way it is, get used to it. If the Jets beat the Pats tonight the outcry will be "Is this the beginning of the end of Tom Brady and the Pats?"........You laugh, but its exactly what would happen.
That situation in Tampa denotes a fundamental distrust/dislike of their Head Coach. Don't think that's ever been the case with Rex, even during the worst of times.
They took the saints to the last second. Another defeat in the worst way possible for them though. It must be really aggravating to watch that twice in a row as a Buc's fan.
They held the Saints high powered offense to 1 TD and two FGs and were in Bree's face all day. One again though too many penalties.
Because negativity sells in the Jets' market. Plus, when the Jets lose, those websites get a shitload of hits from rival fans in different regions, not to mention other fans around the country who have bought into the tailor-made Jets hate-fest that the sports outlets have designed for them. Plus, if the Jets lose enough, the media can ride the Fire Rex train all the way into the offseason, then trash their efforts to find a new coach, and then trash the new coach all the way into the next season. It would be a banner year for these turds if the Jets had a terrible 2013.
they are typically crap games on a network nobody really thinks about. i am surprised that the nfl idiots havent realized its just not working.
8:30 start time - too late, should be 8:00 at the latest and really probably 7:30 with the pre-game show at 7:00. Too much promotion for their own network shows, that has to be killing the bottom line. Too many commercials overall, they should be letting the announcers talk now and then during play stoppages. Bad luck on matchups so far. Bucs-Panthers looked like a good game on the schedule but is instead the Cam Newton show. Newton is an electric player. He's the evolution of Fran Tarkenton.
As long as somebody is willing to give the NFL $$$ for a TNF package, it's working just fine for them. That's the only thing they care about. But I agree ... The games generally suck.
?? isnt the nfl giving the nfl $$$ for TNF currently? TNF was brought about for a single reason, to force cable companies into carrying the network. the nfl network wanted to be the next espn, however companies learned long ago never to ever let something like that happen again. they battled for a number of years with providers as they wanted to be in expanded packages and on every set in the nation. and the providers were not having it. they wanted it as part of a pay package where you got it either ala carte or in a sports type package. the nfl lost in many of those situations and it typically is on a digital channel you need a converter for. i just think its a complete fucking failure. as will be the london fiasco. i did however remember reading something about them wanting to sell rights to ANOTHER thursday night broadcast. like a split double header or some shit. how about we play football on fucking sundays and leave the rest of the week for other things.
London isn't going to happen if it looks like fiasco territory. The people most likely to go over there are probably the Bucs even though they're not being promoted for the spot now. The Glazers won't leap into that market without knowing it is going to work. They have some experience in what does work in the UK and they know enough to know a DOA situation when they see it.
Other than the super sensational TNF weekly ratings (surpassing just about anything else on cable) and the ad revenue streams associated with it, a f-ing failure for sure LOL Sent from my BNTV400 using Tapatalk
your right they are one of the best 07 teams in the history of the NFL. Listen who cares what others say. After week 1 you were probably right they did not appear that bad. Things have gotten ugly down there and the team has quit. Were they a better team week 1 yes, will it now look like we beat a terrible team YUP. Does the W have an asterick next to it NO. Ohh by the Way how has this site not had a Revis thread- he is on an 0-7 team in demise. Remember now he has no guaranteed money beyond one year. Is it possible his run in Tampa lasts one year. I am a HUGE Revis fan and though I have not seen much of his play this year I have heard he grades out like usual. Think about it though we used to talk about how many games Revis was worth to a team- well right now that number sits at ZERO- I don't believe this falls on his shoulders, but unable to give him a credit for a win, when his team has none.
Thursday Night Football is a failure?? Monetarily? The ratings nationally beat the World Series last night and it was an awful game.
