Honestly guys, in my humble honest to god fearing masshole opinion, I think there's about an equal chance of the Jets winning and the Pats winning 56-0. The Patriots have to turn the ball over a few times and the defense has to play way below its performance in terms of points and turnovers over the last 8 weeks or so to give the Jets a chance. The Jets were pretty lucky to come come out winning last week over a team that in my eyes, has a much softer defense than the Pats (and produces fewer takeaways), and obviously a much less potent offense than the Pats especially with Collie and Clark out. I think the Patriots defense has decent chance of playing above people's expectations, especially since it really looks like a few forced turnovers would be enough to win the game for New England. I can see a scenario where the Jets win where the defense really sets a tone and plays lights out while the running game gets it going for the Jets. Ultimately though L.T and Braylon Edwards are just soft douchebags who will fold easily, and I think the Pats just have too many options to keep things under control for 4 quarters. People talk about the Packers defense "solving" the Patriots offense with a blueprint, and forget that they Patriots still managed to score 31 points while getting killed with time of possession. You could say that a pick 6 and a td set up by a lineman's return were fluke scores, but at the end of the game special teams and returns on defense count and I think the Patriots have done enough of that this season to make an argument that both are real strengths of the team which have to be accounted for. Again, I can definitely see the Jets pulling this out and it would be fucking awful for the Patriots, but I really just see it as extremely unlikely.
I'm the same way. I usually can feel the loss by Thursday, which fucks up the weekend for me and leads to drinking heavily. I had zero queasiness last week. I didn't trust it though. That was fucking weird but I was right. I've had it this week. It's nothing like what I pre-Baltimore, but its still there. And its odd that we both had a shock against the Fins. I felt nothing that week too. This week I just know its going to a fucking close game. Painfully close.
