I was at work and saw the main office computer. A co-worker of mine is a dumb Dolphins fan. I was ready to close the screen when I saw that there is a Jets fan site. I wrote down the address and was very happy to know this was on the net. He came into the room told him thanks for keeping the window up. I grew in NJ watching the Jets with players such as freeman, al toon, wesley, R Todd, Mark & JO DE's, harper, and such. I still have bad memories of #77 INT'ing R Todd's swing pass in Miami Mud Bowl (AFC championship). I was so excited about the upcoming 2005 season that in May 05, I googled to find a Jets forum. I browsed through about 5 sites, but this came out on top, so I jumped on the bandwagen. Then the wheels, bolts, nuts, screws... all came apart. Never had such high expectations come apart so drastically. Cause... usually I don't set that high espectations with the Jets. Anyway, this forum is where I turned to gain some "perspectives" after tough losses or major events (on and off season). Although, last season, "perspectives" = pity - party. I am excited again though for the jet future, even though I shouldn't for my sanity/health sake. But addictions are hard to shake off... "Hi my name is freesafety. I am a Jet fan..."
My father and brother are life-long Jet fans, I really didn't get into football until 98 or 99. Now I can't get enough of it! Every football Sunday is quality Daddy/Daughter time My father turned me onto this site. I think he posts in another one (Will not mention, don't want to be banned) but reads posts here once in a while.
