Yeah how on gods green earth did the Jets get 3 Monday nighters..............
The league scheduling office as well as the TV networks decide who gets the MNF/SNF games. It's all about ratings boys. If it's a trash game, nmost of the time you will not see it on MNF & you'll almost never see a flexed game that is expected to get bad ratings. The JETS get the games because they're expected to have good potential. Preseason Monday = First game ever at New Meadowlands Stadium Opening Monday = Rex vs his old team. This past Monday = The Jets vs Brett Favre 11/25 Thanksgiving = Jets vs Bengals (Knocked them out of postseason) 12/6 SNF = Jets vs Patriots rematch 12/19 likely to get flexed if Pittsburgh has a good record regardless of if they have SNF game 2 weeks prior as it can be seen as a potential preview of a postseason matchup. The more likely flex game will be the Chicago game though on 12/26.
Im 99% sure we were only supposed to have 2 . But we got that first one vs Balt tacked on so we wouldnt have to wait till week 2 to open the stadium
sucks for the team, but I love all the primetime games. Living in GA, we hardly ever get to watch the Jets unless it's primetime.
How did we get 3 Monday night games? The answers simple really. This team is fucking great. We're not some slapdick team. Everyone deserves to see this team play and not just once, multiple times. That's why we got 3 Monday night games and a total of 5 nationally televised games.
ANyone here besides me not a fan of more than 1 Monday nighter? I'd rather be part of it all on Sundays. Just me.
I like it. Living in FL, I don't get access to all the Jets games down here. Plus this shows that the Jets are a big-time team.
I'm all about the primetime games. Though it does suck waiting all weekend for monday night to get here.
I'd love to see JETS-STEELERS get flexed in Week 15. Scheduled for Vikings-Bears right now ... not a believer in the Bears, and If Vikes fall to Dallas this week their season could be headed into the crapper.
Well the Pats in 2007 didn't play a Thursday game but they played a Saturday game against the Giants at the end of the season. So they won 5/6 different time slots.
