Polamalu did not miss tackles because he is injured. He was held out of practice most of the week to rest an injury and to be safe. He will be ready to go and I am sure they will not keep him in deep coverage against the Jets as they did not bomb the Steelers deep like the Ravens have. Polamalu missed a couple tackles, but he does that some games. He really is not as comfortable as a deep safety as he is playing around the box. He will be back in the box against the Jets.

As for Ben, he has been limping with that injury for weeks. It is not new and he has played well with it. No need to think he will regress.

The Steelers lost the OTs during the Ravens game, but Flozell Adams was out because he was ill, not because of injury. He became ill during the game and this forced the 3rd string in. Then, Scott had his ankle rolled up on, but he returned later. The interior has been the same for 6 weeks. They will return all 5 of the OL that has played for the last 6-8 weeks. Now, Scott is not a great tackle, far from it, but he will be there. The Steelers will have the same line they had when they played the Jets. The Jets had 2 sacks while the Mendenhall ran for 99 yards on 17 carries.

Mike Tomlin won't address this until Tuesday in his press conference, but at this time, Will Allen (knee) and Aaron Smith (shoulder) are the only two that I think will be major concerns at this point.

The Steelers will be better with Polamalu and Miller back for this game. Of course, the Jets will be better with Revis back.

SteelCurtain96 is the man. Having a civilized conversation about the game this week. After this week, I forgot fans of the opposition can be sportsmanlike too.

Bill Cowher after the Jets/Patriots game: The Jets haven't faced a defense like the Pittsburgh Steelers'.

Actually Bill, they beat a defense just like the Pittsburgh Steelers'. Just saying.

    Pittsburgh delenda est.

They haven't faced a healthy Steelers defense. Troy was out for the last game. and James Harrison had been sick the entire week and didn't practice. Also our starting corner Bryant McFadden was injured. It's a different defense with Troy in there..Not just saying that..the numbers prove it.

I doubt it will show up on the injury report but I'll be damned if there isn't at least one police report with that on it. =)

I don't care about Polamalu...... Is Aaron Smith going to play?

Anyone that watched that game and thought the Ravens were the better team needs their heads examined. I was praying the Ravens won if the Jets did. The Ravens are not better than the Steelers.

Didn't Crumpler drop a touchdown pass. Welker or Branch dropped one too.

I think Smith will be back, but how effective can he be after being off this long? He's a great DE otherwise.

I'm more than happy to talk civilized with you guys all wekk though I must offer up a disclaimer. The wife is a few days passed her due date, so if I suddenly disappear at some point this week, it might be because we went to have the baby.

Smith won't play until the Super Bowl..if we make it there..
I actually think Ziggy Hood is better..hate to say that..
He has more in the tank and is faster. He should..He was a first round pick.

Absolutely I would rather play the Ravens as well, their offense is a joke. But their defense did an excellent job vs the Steelers offense, and if it wasnt for the Ravens own offense gifting them the ball so much there is no chance the Steelers would of came back to win it.

    None

Only fool Jets fans would think that. However, we will take every advantage we can. I hope Big Ben gets crabs before next week so he is too busy scratching his crotch when the ball is snapped.

I hope Rex can create the same high level of both emotion and concentration for next week, we will need it. This week almost felt like the championship already, and its like...oh, now we have to play another game to get there?

And anybody who does not think this team will run the ball well next week is kidding himself. We will put up at least 150 on the ground vs the Steelers, guaranteed.

Hey genius I'm trying to give the Jets credit for their win because they earned it just like my Steelers earned their win. Some of your other Gang Green brethren are trying to say you guys earned yours but that the Steelers got lucky which is complete and homer BS.

Read the full conversation before you just spew your usual uninformed hate towards me mmmmkay?

There is a clip on NFL.com of Clark's hand poking the ball out. It shows it clearly at the 33 second mark. He is putting his arm around to tackle him and it hits the back of the football popping it forward. It was luck, but Clark caused that fumble.

I would link it, but I cannot.
