WTF does anyone expect when most of the routes run are 15 yds or shorter? or that receivers end up next to each other? The fact is this OC is absolutely hindering the growth of Mark. Is Mark of no blame? fuk no! But I guarantee you that Mark on the SAINTS is Better than Shotty with the SAINTS. Shotty has all these weapons and has no clue what to do. Yes, we know we can't run 70 yd routes cause of the O-Line but the guy won't even move a pocket to go downfield.
McKnight has made some costly mistakes on ST two straight games. He didn't do bad as a RB, but as a KR, he needs to stop. I'm afraid that his fumblitis will carry over to the RB duties.
I agree with everything except McKnight. His fumble didn't even cost us any points (unlike Mark Shitchez' turnover) and he had some good returns and good runs.
Its sad to watch teams that are good only because of their QB and watch how much a better a team in the Jets would be if we had even an above average qb. Sanchez is a bottom 10 QB once again this year. The fans deserve better than this.....
Agreed, he doesn't deserve and extension that's for sure, we would be better off signing a journeyman who can guarantee safe and avg play and using the extra money elsewhere. Sanchez is making like 15 million this year, for what exactly!?
I've always defended Sanchez with "If we had a new OC, then Sanchez would really shine" and "If we had someone with half a brain to call in good plays, the Jets would be hard to beat", but he should still make good reads on shitty play calls. That wont stop with a different OC. Maybe someone new can whip his ass into shape, but it doesn't look good for him. The Jets will try to defend and keep him. Now way they pay his huge ass salary next year if we miss playoffs, and more than likely will.

People act like Sanchez didn't LEAD THE NFL in comeback drives last year The kid is clutch, and with a competent OC there is no question he'd be miles better than he is now.
Burress is irritated since the DB closed up on the backside - meaning if Sanchez throws the ball up top, over the shoulder, then the DB can't do jack shit on the ball - and yet Sanchez throws to the backside. (Good thing Burress wasn't expecting the pass - neither turned their head quickly enough to make a play on the ball. If that happened, it was a sure pick, since the ball was thrown so far behind Burress.) Burress was so irritated that he gave Sanchez a hand signal to "throw over the top." The next play, Sanchez fires a medium height bullet squarely into the cover guy who was cutting in front of Burress. That pass was returned for 6. I have been trying to defend this kid, but is he retarded? What part of "Throw Over The Shoulder" does he not understand? ----------------------------------------------------------- Of course having human garbage like Wayne Hunter at RT doesn't help your cause. On top of that, having Burress at the slot is not the way to utilize him - that falls squarely on Schottenheimer, the prime moron of this team.

Last two years we were saying that we had a QB with a lot of potential and a Defense that kicks ass. Never do I really recall anyone saying that we have the next Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. Everyone seemed to know his downsides, but wanted to be optimistic for a change. Shame on us for doing that. Tom Brady is on a team that has the worst defense in the NFL, and he wins. Mark Sanchez is on a team that still has a good defense, but has taken a step back from the previous two years, and the Jets get embarrassed.
He had awful protection from Wayne Hunter who is garbage and hardly anything on the ground but he annoyed me today with such poor decisions. No reason to throw that to Goodman. No reason at all. I can't defend him on these poor decisions....he had 3 or 4 absolutely mind numbing plays.
