Have 3 random death row inmates and Peyton recreate a scene from Shawshank Redemption. Cue Morgan Freeman telling Peyton. " Word on the street is the sisters have taken a liking to you". ............. See easy as pie. Why the hell am I the only one to think of something so simple?
I wanted to use someone who we wouldn't need the rest of the game. I would've suggested Gholston, but I somehow doubted he'd get the job done. I'm not so sure that's a good idea.
If Kerry Rhodes pulled his head out of his ass we wouldn't need Eric Smith. But I'm glad his play has improved enough that we feel we need him.
So you are suggesting Eric Smith is a death row inmate....... that is racist, you are just saying that because he is black..... See:
Im just glad the Jags lost. Now we need to beat the bird. If we beat the bird we could always pay some of Tiger's gal pals to come out and say they have STDs and that they have also been schtupping peyton for the past yr or so. Maybe that will induce Peyton to take a leave of absence for a week or so.
I hate to say it, but the best thing to do might be to take some cheap shots at PM early in the game. Take the 15-yard roughing penalty, maybe even an ejection from a 2nd-tier player. Let the Colts know that if they keep Manning in the game, their whole season might go out the door. Hey, you guys asked....
Beat the Colts? I think this Jets team can do it. Of course, lets beat Atlanta or this is a moot point. Revis vs Wayne - One problem solved. Lito, Lowry, vs Garcon, etc. - I like our chances there. A healthy Lowry, Strickland would help. Clark - E. Smith to work him over or blitz to keep him in protection. D-Line needs to man up and stop the run since preference will be to stopping the pass. On offense - no turnovers and keep the ball from Manning by running the ball. Capitalize by actually scoring TD's instead of the field goal trend.
Horrible defense? The defense isn't dominant or anything, but it's far from horrible. They are undefeated because they play well on both sides of the ball.
Maybe horrible was an overstatement but they are a below average D. They are undefeated because they have the best QB in the game and their O can score at will or whenever needed. The D has little to do with their undefeated season. Take Peyton Manning off that team and they are nothing more then an average team.
I agree that Peyton Manning is the biggest part of their success, but the Colts' defense, believe it or not, is a top five defense when it comes to points allowed. Only the Jets, the Bengals, and the Ravens have allowed less points per game. Like I said, their defense isn't great or anything, but they've been getting the job done. They bend, but don't break. Damn...what a hell of a remaining schedule for our Jets.
