    Wrong.

Listen, if you want to label him a bust because you hated the pick, then fine. Your obsession with this subject is very old and tired, though. Not that many people have agreed with you in the past, and I don't think you're changing any minds. Mostly because you're wrong.

What I dont understand about threads like these are the constant bringing up of how much we gave up to get a player.

Thats long gone and over. It was a different coach and a different GM.

Yesterday was a breakdown of the entire defense. Robertson has come a long way since. Its a new defense and there will be ups and downs.

Same goes for Nugent. Where are the "do you still think Nugent was a good pick in the second round" threads. He still isnt worth the 2nd round label..but if he was a free agent after this year...I would sign him with no hesitation.

Robertson..Nugent..they are Jets right now. Personally, I couldnt give two craps about what we gave up to get them. Its over.

Very rarely do teams give up so much in the way of draft picks to move up and that player becomes worth everything given up.

Robertson has played very well for much more than two quarters Hack....you cant really believe that.

So you have kept track of every poster of every DeWayne Robertson thread that has ever been made on this board?

I came in here to post pretty much the same thing. After a couple years you've gotta let go of whether you liked the pick or whether the value wasn't there and just evaluate them solely as players, not draft picks.

Mike Nugent isn't "Second round pick Mike Nugent" to me anymore - he's just Mike Nugent. The same goes for "2 First Round Picks for Lazy Ass D-Rob".

I was thinking him but i give it to Blair thomas, just for the fact he went right above kennedy and junior. don't know who we passed when drafting Johny.

I choose Blair Thomas with Johnny "jump up" Lam Jones close second. If DRob was a stock and this board was the exchange I would'nt touch it with a 10 foot pole. Let's wait til next week you'll be gone and DRob will go back to where he was the last 4 weeks (not on anyones mind).

I'm suprised we haven't seen more backlash to the wheels completely falling off the whole "QB of the defense" fluff pieces we've been seeing to stoke Vilma's ego. The man got called out and had ONE tackle. One!

    Johnny,

    Two things.

    1. Couldnt agree with you more. Vilma is Houdini in Green and White.

    2. You got banned? I just saw that today. Sorry I wasnt there to defend you in the banned thread..never saw it...such a nice boy...lol.

I don't think the fact that Barton and Hobson are better than the other two has anything to do with their skin tone. I think it probably has to do with the fact that they simply are better football players.

I might ask the same thing if I were a Bears fan. Why start Urlacher when you could start a black player?

Shut up you morons. Go look at the tape, Robertson has been great since coming off the bye week. He played well Sunday, D-Rob was in the back field all day. Its not his fault Chad cant throw a 15 yard strike.
Vilma is a big part of the problem, and was a big part of the problem last sunday. HE CANT shead blockers inside, period. Go look at the tape D-Rob had two guys clogged up almost the entire game.

D-Rob has had a real good season. The criticizing of him is baseless. Very satisfied with is play and effort.

He's gotta get props. When you're up against Matt Birk and Steve Hutchinson most of the game and you hold Chester Taylor to 38 yards...

    Wow.

D-Rob is having a hell of a season.
Maybe the best defensive player right now on this team!
