Aso's contract will set the market for CBs looking to get a big payday.

Cro is one of those CBs. So is Jonathan Joseph.

Did the Jets sign Pace yet?

Sent from my laptop using the keyboard.

I'm sure Tanny will set a deadline.

If Aso says no at the weekend and we've already let Cro, Braylon etc go then we'll have a weaker team than when we started - I just can't see that happening.

I have not heard John Clayton say anything positive about the Jets for years. I think this is him hoping rather than knowing.

Clayton would be a lot more bearable if he went on the air with a condom over his head

Whenever there is news about the Jets landing a FA or making a trade, he always says it's not likely. I remember this with Favre, Faneca, Pace, etc.

This. If Tanny allows it to go to the weekend, we're in danger of losing out on multiple free agents, especially if Aso decides to sign elsewhere.

Don't listen to Clayton, he looks like a squeezed penis.

Schefty on mike and mike. Says that Jets are the leader right now. He wants to be in NY and the Jets are closer to ten million under than anything. It can happen if the Jets want it to.

Meanwhile Greenberg is celebrating in the background...

Can't wait to see how this plays out today!

I took it as a way to get Nnamdi more money.

Its amazing. Its truly amazing might be pulled off by this FO.

What Scheff ment is they wouldn't have to make a lot of moves, cuts or redo many contract to make it happen. Just signing Harris to a long contract or redoing Sanchez's contract could be enough. As I said earlier this morning in this threat, we could get Aso and only count $7M this season, same as Revis.

Schefty apparently talked to some capologists around the league, and they said the Jets could be anywhere with the cap. But that for them to be making this kind of push for scrabble, they have to be closer to 10 million under than anything else...

Haha Tanny and Ari Nissim = gods.

Revis wanted to get paid more than Aso last year, claiming he was the best CB in the league and now he says Aso's better than him? lol, whatever gets him here I suppose. It's gone from being a pipedream to where it'd be a dissapointment if it doesn't happen.

Anywhere.... hmmm, well that means they have room, but no one knows how much.

No one knows what money is being prorated into what season yet, so I understand that.

For two pro bowl caliber players to take less money to be here is reminiscent of the Pats in the early 2000s. When they resigned their own players, they took pay cuts.

Ari Nissim is quite a genius. I really think he plays a big role behind the scenes that most fans don't understand.

Tanny is amazing. He can get 200 million worth of contracts, and probably still find a way to make it seem the Jets have 10 million in cap room.

Come on Aso, agree to the deal today and make every wr and qb in the AFC have a heart attack.
