I think if Aso walks, we may just not restructure Sanchez, and spend to that this year by taking a huge cap hit on Mark so that we have a ton of room next year.

We don't actually have that much cap room available when you look at all the roster spots we need to fill. We can just get a ton more if we want to by redoing Sanchez and Harris's deals.

Fuck San Francisco, we just gave you Carlos Beltran. Let us have Nnamdi.

You will get a World Series parade and we will have a Super Bowl parade.

    Speak for yourself, Mutt fan.

I'm getting my hopes up over here. Tannenbaum always has somethin' up his sleeve, the salary cap is his bitch.

the 49ers are about to take us out with a ridiculous offer or Tanny is playing cap magic with bonuses and incentives structuring the least cap hell possible deal.

unless some other team is making moves behind the scene and throwing their hat in the ring.

im just guessing his agent is milking this for all its worth before the jets say "ummm, too rich for our blood"

I doubt Harbaugh invests a ridiculous amount of money into a cornerback.

Yeah, I just feel like the longer its drawn out, less likely he signs with the Jets.

the fact revis was so tight lipped about restructuring and last years bitch fit leads me to believe no matter how much rex shouts and tanny pouts i doubt revis restructures.

out of all the factors that would lead to us landing aso that is definitely the least likely to happen IMO.

of course i could be wrong but dont think i sound too crazy by saying that.

the more i think about it handing that much money to a 30 yr old CB is scary. Aso or not.

unless hes already made it clear he has no problem switching to safety in a cple years.

Will consider leaving money on the table to come to new York and play for a coach they like. This all sounds pretty familiar to blueshirt fans

I am not going to worry if Aso goes elsewhere, I almost think it would be good thing and allow the Jets to address some other areas and spread the wealth around. I trust in Rex to make it work with another vet at the 2 cb spot. The Jets had the number one defense in the nfl with Sheppard.

Any news on Grimes? Figure he'll probably go back Atlanta, but haven't really heard too much.

  17. I don't know about that. I think in this case, the reverse may be true. If he was taking the money, he would just take the money and sign with SF. The longer it plays out, the more likely he is using the 49ers to raise the price for the Jets. That suggests he plans on being a Jet.

  18. That it does. Glad to see Richards here with all the room to keep the core, Duby, Cally, Anisimov.

DING DING - folks the last sentence hits the proverbial nail on the head. remember we have a 1st round CB in wilson as well - the education he is gonna get from the 2 best will be priceless. what a potential 3 headed monster in the back seven.
