Doh! ...talking to clients and posting on a message board is a bad idea... Buffalo 2x, TB, Carolina, Oakland. Buffalo/Carolina were decent, but had bad QB problems. TB/Oakland were terrible AND had QB problems. There's 5 easy wins. Ya lost to Miami twice, J'ville and a banged up ATL team. Sorry, but strength of schedule is a total BS argument. I think your passing defense benefited from your run game in two ways, time of possession was shortened and you didn't have an offense that truly forced other teams to take to the air to keep up. We'll see how your strengths match up...Your run game is the biggest strength. Clearly. Looking at your schedule, you only played a few decent passing teams all year. NE, NO, Houston, Indy and Cincy. Indy quit and Cincy fell apart. Tennessee started a failing Kerry Collins, Houston started slow and not one other team not mentioned above had a decent passing attack.
Injuries to their marquee players: Atlanta @ NY Jets (ATL) Matt Ryan and Michael Turner were both limited in practice and are questionable. They are not good starts even if they go. (NYJ) Mark Sanchez is probable and will start.
The TOP thing is a bit overblown. The Jets were 9th in avg time of possession with a hair over 30 mins which means the D was still on the field half the game. Hell Houston had a terrible running offense this year and had a higher avg TOP then the Jets and their D was only middle of the pack.
What's to say he won't "spot" the Bolts 10 points, or more, especially in a very hostile, pressure-filled environment. Turnover-prone play cannot be ignored in the playoffs. Each one is magnified.
If the Jets have that attitude, and it translates into playing loose, then we have ourselves a ballgame.
This guy talks about bumping your own chest, hes bumping his own chest for the Chargers O after they played the Raiders twice, Chiefs twice, Browns,
whats to say Rivers wont or anyone who fumbles. Any given sunday, theres a reason we run so many times per game for the last 7 or so games. Sanchez is a to machine and we dont give him the opportunity to turnover the ball like we used to.
Well, since Rivers has one of the lowest INT:attempt ratio in the NFL, and Sanchez one of the highest... This seems to be the summary of both sides: Bolt fans: You can't stop our passing offense. Jets fans: You can't stop out running offense. Bolt fans: Sure we can, we have the 12th rated running D, including lots of garbage yards the past 3 months. Jets fans: Sure WE can, we have the freakin #1 rated pass D in the NFL. Something's gotta give...and I say it is the QBs, and their respective penchant for turnovers.
he is a charger bandwagon clown this is what he commented at the bottom of another article: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...lts-can-neutralize-darelle-revis-jets-defense Two things. One, Vincent Jackson is listed at 6'5" 230lbs, but based on previous data he's actually 6'4" and 240lbs. Revis can't jam VinnyJack and he wasn't stupid enough to try last year. VJax is definitely 6'4" and not 6'5" by his own admission. Two, the New York media is of the impression that all San Diego does is pass the ball and nothing could be further from the truth. One clown, and I post the link, said: Rivers in not even in the same class as Brees and Manning. Rivers is better than both. Look at Manning/Rivers head to head and look the improvement in QB play after the beloved (yes beloved) Brees left SD. The Chargers offense doesn't have as many weapons as the Colts and Saints, so the Jets have already faced better offenses - that's a joke. And the Jets don't even have to consider worrying about SD running the ball. Please. San Diego passed the ball on about 55% of their plays. They ran out the clock on Dallas, Tennessee, and Denver with ease running the ball. Those drives were among several Championship style drives to end games. Of course, SD ran up their running percentage at the end of games, but also messed up their ypc average with all those victory formation runs. LOL. SD is the 23rd most passing'est team in the league BTW. HE RATHER HAVE RIVERS INSTEAD OF 4 TIME MVP PEYTON MANNING
I stopped reading that idiot's words right there. Barrett and Lowery were covering Jackson in the week 3 2008 game.
