My friend suggested that Holmes is only out there as a decoy. Let other teams put their #1 CB on him and we just took their best CB out of the game. Let out better, younger receivers get open.
Pretty much everyone. The only thing Holmes has on the kids is experience. But he's super overrated and lazy as hell.
You must have a very short memory. Holmes is definitely a game changer. He's done it many times. He's coming off a major injury has hasn't had many snaps with this offense. People seem to just expect him to come back from snapping his foot in half and not even have a slight learning curve to the new offense. Unrealistic expectations. You gotta give him a couple more weeks. He'll get there.
This. He's also working with a rookie QB as well after not being there for training camp. Still made some clutch catches for the Jets on both of their scoring drives last night. He's starting to come on in my opinion.
Our best WR... seriously he had the surest hands all night and even in a reduced state he was able to make some good catches. i can't wait for him to get 100% (which he isn't just yet) he honestly seems like he can be a help to Geno, if they gain more chemistry as the year goes on an assumed cut becomes an asset worth keeping a year longer. I'm just not as down on the guy as most are, heres hoping the extra rest serves him well.
People should be bashing Gates, not Holmes. Dude had like 6 drops, one of which cost us the game. I thought I saw something from him this preseason and thought he had improved a lot, but now he's showing to be the same guy from last year. I guess his route running has gotten a little better, but it doesn't matter if you can't catch the football.
you have seen our depth chart right? A one legged Holmes is better than Ben omabaklhasnkjdbsfkjsbfksdksbfgu
