Give it up man. Enough of the fuckin excuses.

Call it like it is. Geno Smith sucks. No matter what talent you put around him, he sucks.

Yeah it's a shame too because he was doing better looking off defenders in wk1

There's no hidden agenda, Rex and the Jets will go down with Geno Smith. I have no remorse.

You know, I was all for Geno Smith and Rex Ryan. I thought Geno was the answer going into this season and I thought Rex was a great coach, but this whole situation has me completely flipped. Geno Smith fuckin sucks and to make it worse, Rex sits on the podium like a mindless tool and says "Geno is our guy" and he will be starting baring an injury set back.

    Fuck you Rex

I was pretty upset with the Geno Smith acquisition but I still supported and hoped things would work out in the end. It appears the issues Geno had in college are evident here in NY now. Rex is a loyal guy, he's not going to sit him right away - it's going to take a few more weeks of bad Geno to see that happen. I like Rex, but his inability (or interest) to get better each yr as a HEAD COACH has doomed him.

Maybe things turn around this year, but at this juncture this team is heading right to the gutter with a top 10 pick and lots of cap space. The new coach will have an attractive destination.

I wonder why the D May not look good after halftime. Because they are on the field for 3/4 of the game. Bottom line is Geno should have never even started.

At some point a QB might have to make a throw when a DB is closer than 20 yrds. Geno can't even hit his check down receiver half the time.
Also, Vick not any better than Geno ? That's saying he is the worst QB in the league right now, only under Geno.. GTFOH.

Geno is certainly struggling but much of that is because of the way he is being handled and the weapons he has. It is just the truth.

The same thing he did last year which earned him the starting job.

I think people have to come to terms that unless Geno is injured, he will start every game for the Jets this season. We are going to see what we have in him and ride him until the end of the season. I think many people here expected way too much while ignoring the glaring holes on this team. This team was a borderline playoff team AT BEST, but injuries, coaching and stupid mistakes have killed us. Do you really think putting Vick in will make us win the next three games against playoff caliber teams with two of them on the road? Does putting Vick really make this team that much better that we will make a playoff run? NO! He's just a flashy player that is just as turnover prone as Geno, extremely prone to injury, and lacks arm strength. Vick is 5-12 in his last 17 starts as a quarterback and has only 1 season where he was able to play healthy. OVERRATED! Just listen to the comments made by the players and coaching staff yesterday, they are all behind Geno. Pulling Geno out now would probably cause a rift in the locker room and would most likely lead to a end worse than the 2011 season. Look, I am not holding a grudge against Vick and what he did, I just think starting him will yield little to no improvement to this team's performance while causing problems within the locker room. It's frustrating to watch, I know, but we lack talent at many positions (this one is on the FO) and the coaching staff has been inept so far this year, starting Vick is not changing that. I have no expectations for Geno and he will have to develop if he wants a starting job next year, but cutting him off now will shoot his confidence and will stunt his growth as a quarterback. Geno has my backing as long as he's the quarterback of the Jets, but my patience is wearing thin. If by the end of the season he is still consistently turning the ball over and not running the offense proficiently I will agree that he should be replaced.

The only thing that causes issues in a locker room is losing. I understand you do not like Vick I am not a huge fan either the Jets did sign him to a 5 million dollar contract so they must think he has something. How has he down overall besides his last 17 starts?
If he can't play why did the FO bring him in?

Except he looks off receivers every game and in most throwing situations.

Again, I think winning and a winning attitude is not something you turn off and on. If as I believe Vick is the beter option at Qb, then get everyone back into it, get more development out of your other younger players like Amaro, Salas and Kerley, learning with a better Qb more and more about the WCO, and allow the D to also develop while they are worknig with a more effective Offense, winning games and caring about the result.

It says here none of that will happen with Smith as Qb.

unless things take a major turn for the better, I don't see the Jets making it past the bye week with Smith. Maybe not that long. No matter how stubborn Ryan is.

I think if Idzik thought Geno was a franchise QB he would not have passed over him Round One. Personally, I think Geno has been bad, but Vick is not a solution either. He has been a loser and a mistake prone QB too. It could be that this idea of making the playoffs exists only in the mind of Jet fans. The Jet management may have a more sobering view. If they do not think this team is a legit playoff contender, then the smart thing to do would be to go with Geno and see if it finally clicks. Or to sit him a game or two with the idea of bringing him back into the starter position. They must see some things they like in Geno. This has to be the year where they decide to fish or cut bait with him. I am just suggesting a possibility here. Not saying I favor the move.

How is Vick a loser? He has a career winning record as a QB.
