Now you know how Jets fans feel after Leon Hess cancels his vacation only to rush home to hire Rich Kotite. Herm Edwards is the Rich Kotite of the Chiefs organization and we are now the Eagles fans that laughed and laughed and laughed about hiring Kotite. At least the Jets didn't give up a draft pick for Kotite though.
I knew what we were getting when he was hired. I was one of the few Chiefs fans that didn't want him anywhere near KC. I was at the opening game against the Jets a few years ago and I kept thinking, wow this has to be one of the worst prepared teams I have ever seen coming into a season. KC's defense wasn't that good that year and they looked like world beaters against Herm's Jets. I kept thinking, I'm so glad that guy isn't the Chiefs coach. Then low and behold, King Carl hires him and gives up a draft pick for him as well. I knew we were screwed right then and it was going to be a return to the sickening late 70's and early 80's Chiefs. Well, Hermie did one better, by delivering the longest losing streak in franchise history.
