Now I don't know how many first round draft picks Buddy Ryan left Kotite, but I'm sure it is less than 4. And I'm also not sure what the playoff system was back then, but I'm pretty certain it was easier to make the playoffs in the Herm Era than when Kotite coached the Eagles. Does anybody know for sure or is willing to check up on that? iirc, Back then there were 3 divisions, and the division winners made the playoffs, and 1 WC spot. Under the Herm era, I think there were always 3 WC spots, and outside of one year, when we won the division, we never got that first spot.

we are 3-3 now, if we go 2-8 the rst of the way that's good enough for you? that's exceeding expectations? Think again. Expectations change quikcly in sports espcially in the NFl just like last year e expect playoffs heading into the year but a month in it was clear we had no shot. Now we are healthy and anything less than 7-8 wins will be a disappointment w/ our easy sched.

that was idiotic as well but still not as idiotic as late in the 3rd qtr in a tie game foing for it on 4th and G from the 3.

The Ol has talent, it's young but it's very talented. Baker is a good TE, he's not going to put up gates #s but he's solid. We have a top QB and a top WR corps to go along w/ a solid OL and TE. Rb is the only area we lack talent.

we have almost identical talent as in the playoffs 2 years ago, the major difference is we are forcing 4-3 personnel to play 3-4.

yeah that's what would have happened:rofl: he never played any young guys.

and they lost close games to Cincy and Den when they lost their QB in the Cincy game and played /o him at denver. The only bad game they have played was at Pitt. Arizona might not be very good but they have proven to be dangerous in their new home. they have their only win there and they lost 3 games to SL, KC and Chi by a combined 6 points so getting a W in Arizona isn't as easy as it used to be.

alot of people forget that, they forget we were 2-5 having to travel cross country to face a 6-1 team, they forget Steve Young that morning saying "J-E-T-S Just End The Season", they forget how we dismantled SD and killed their season and came back to win only our SECOND EVER AFC East Title.

In herm's 1st year the playoff format was the same as it was during Kotite's years w/ Philly and in the next 2 years we made the playoffs it was harder b/c there was 1 less WC available. from '90 to '01 there were 3 WCs available, from '02-current there are just 2.

There were six playoff teams from each conference during both the Kotite-Eagles era and the Edwards-Jets era.

    That's just not fair.

    Kotite was a coordinator.
