I don't think we're out of the Cromartie sweepstakes yet.

    Same!

We need Wilson to start off strong. I have faith he will get it together some time in the season. But it looks like we will need him day one.

Either way, we invested a 1st round pick in him last year and now he needs to step up.

We're looking at an obvious downgrade in the WR department, that's a fact. Barring a trade, nobody we bring in has the talent level of Braylon Edwards. Plaxico has a similar skill set except he doesn't have the speed Braylon does.

Keller is a mismatch problem, during the first few games of the 2010 season he looked like a a beast then fell off the face of the planet. Need to get him involved more if we don't upgrade the #2 WR position.

Agreed, I think he played better down the stretch. He was in great position to make a game changing play in the AFC title game but unfortunately the ball hit in the facemask and he couldn't find it once it popped in the air. Not his fault but seems like his coverage skills have improved.

True. This is where not having mini camps hurt this year. If they could have been able to guage where Wilson is in his development we may not be pursuing Cromartie at all and go with Wilson as the other starter and more than likely definitely bring Braylon back.

Here's the guy who needs to step up the most IMO:

If we don't bring back Cromartie, we'll need an untested sophomore to step up and a free agent to learn Ryan's defense largely on the fly. Leonhard, a team leader and the defensive signal caller, will need to take the lead in helping both of those things happen.

if Bart Scott and Calvin Pace had stepped up last year we would have won the Superbowl

Well sure but Leonhard has been nothing short of outstanding for this team.

If the entire front 7 didn't play like they were on the rag in the first half of the AFC title game we would have at least made the fucking game.

No doubt. He'll have his work cut out for him this season though, and he's coming off a major injury.

I'm sure that he's up to the task, but one could argue that he's the Jets most 3rd most important player (behind Revis and Sanchez) coming into the season.

    Yeah

Should be high on the list. Hopefully is healthy and can rack up the pressure on QB's. We are all screaming for a pass rush, all the damn time. Come on Pace.
