I typed Dolphag and almost instantly was banned. 10 minutes later I had about 10 guys in turquoise and orange clothes knocking on my door screaming something about anal. BTW, I doubt you were banned for just typing that.
I heard that somewhere, I think he means he'll buy his teammates tickets to the playoffs so they can try and learn. lol They would pretty much have to win out with the way the AFC looks. They have no tiebreakers. That's why they should just stick with Henne, we did with Sanchez last year after some 3 pick games and that 5 pick game.
Yeah by my count there's three deserving teams that end up getting left out in the cold before the Dolphins ever come into play. No division is getting two wild cards this year, and all four are up for grabs between two teams if not three. Phins lost to every team that matters and beat every team that doesn't. If they go 10-6 they probably still get shut out.
I was thinking, Marshall might be the best WR Pennington has ever had in the NFL. Of course he had Randy Moss in college, Coles was probably his best WR on the Jets, unless you prefer Santana Moss or Chrebet, but Marshall might be the most talented one. Last time Pennington was on the field for Miami Ginn was probably their #1 WR. Unless I'm forgetting someone.
He's never played with a WR like Marshall that much is true. I'm still not expecting the Dolphins to be that much better, they're just a mediocre team imo.
Doesn't it suck, Marshall will be going nuts. After about 5 floaters nearly get him killed he'll be punting balls in practice again.
Chad's pretty accurate, what gets you killed are balls that you have to reach and jump for because they are off target, no matter how hard they are thrown. Did you see Flacco lay out Heap last night?
I'd say being on target but throwing a rainbow to get the ball there will kill the receiver more. As he's waiting for the ball to arrive defenders have all the time in the world to time their vicious blow once he goes up to grab it so someone else doesn't pick it off.
If he has to wait for the ball then it's not accurate. If you hit him in stride and where the DB can't get it, it doesn't matter how fast the ball is going.
You don't remember the floaters? He can float the ball and be accurate. Timing may be off due to the floating but if the ball is going to the receiver he's accurate.
For the most part I remember him being very accurate and having very few passes dropped. Everyone floats a couple, the key is knowing what you can and can't do. It's not like Pennington tries to go deep all game and keeps coming up short, he's one of the most accurate passers of all time, his biggest problem of course has been the shoulder injuries.
I'm not saying you do, but a lot of Jet fans think Chad having a weak arm means he can't throw the deep ball. He throws the deep ball fine, it's the 15 yard outs/comeback routes/things like that where he struggles because of his limitations.
Can he throw it 40 yards? Yeah he can. But it's got the hang time of a punt. Give him four seconds to get in position and Revis will eat him alive.
I agree, but again I think he's smart enough to know what he can't do, unlike a Favre or Cutler who think they can do everything and throw a lot of bad balls because of it. If anything Chad uses the long pass well because he has the element of surprise, nobody is usually looking for it.
Chad is smart with the ball when he is ahead in the game. When the Dolphins are behind, more chances have to be taken and that's when Chad is a liability, forcing him outside his comfort zone. I've seen several of his passes jumped for interceptions on those 5 yard out patterns enough to know he needed to go.
I seem to remember the Dolphins' owner back in June saying something about Henne eventually going down as the greatest Dolphin QB ever. He was right about the "going down" part at least.:rofl:
I agree but you can say that about most QBs, whatever their flaws may be are more exposed in that situation. If they aren't accurate, don't know how to work the clock, etc. Chad was won a lot of games because if you don't turn it over a lot and manage the game well, you can often stay within a score where you don't have to compromise your offense. Your point is well taken, but again it applies to most QBs aside from the elite few who actually excel in that situation.
