See... ya never really know if I'm being serious or just phucking with puck. hmy::lol: It's fun to be me... probably not as much fun as it is to be sexy Rexy, but...
I told myself before the Pittsburgh game that any win was acceptable, no matter how ugly. The fact that the Jets won in a hostile environment where they had NEVER won a game. Would have been nice to get an easy comfortable win but you really can't complain.
Does anyone honestly think Rex gives two shits about this? I'm sure he's laughing it up with Bart Scott right now. Mike Walker from the National Enquirer is on Howard Stern every Thursday. He brought to light something that is obvious but usually goes unnoticed. Breaking news comes when the victim of the news is at the top or the reporters have no other choice. Case in point, Sandra Bullock wins the Oscar, that same week her husband is exposed as a cheater. Tiger Woods was at the top of his game, the car accident caused the reports to go into action. Mike Walker said all those shit magazined knew about his affairs for a year at least. Point is this is no scandal, and it's being brought to light now because the Jets are one of the biggest stories in the NFL right now, with Rex Ryan as the central figure. Mark's shoulder is fine, hopefully we can win in Buffalo and perhaps rest him during the Buffalo week as well as the game.
Hey TBJ, It is better to stay in a SOJ state of mind. Anyone looking into flights to Dallas in early Feb is setting themselves up for a disappointment. Don't set unrealistic expectations. This is a flawed team. But even flawed teams can go on a run and get some breaks. Is it possible that we will win the SB? Definitely. Is it likely to happen? Probably not. That shouldn't stop you from looking forward to the next game and hoping for a big win. God help us all if we beat the Bears and the Bills upset the Pats....the Kool-Aid kegs will get tapped again and posters will be lining up for the let-down (I'm sure I'll be one of those a-holes with my plastic cup ready to take a sip). And I wouldn't let all the non-football stuff get to you. While I am not thrilled about the circus atmosphere with this team, it is really all about the games. Happy Holidays, DBJ
Wait, so its either be delusional and think SB or be SOJ and think one and done? I'm confused I have this team losing to one of the 1st round bye teams, no matter what fashion they lose in, and its not SOJ. Its just football.
No....I'm just saying keep the sights low. I was just using "SOJ"...cause that is what TBJ used. The reality is they are going to the playoffs (barring a true SOJ meltdown). In my opinion it is only SOJs when the circumstances are ridiculous. The Doug Brien game was SOJs...even if we weren't supposed to win that game (Herm having them take a knee was stupid). Last season's AFC championship was NOT SOJ. Losing to Houston in the play-in game 15 or so years ago when the Oilers had nothing to play for is SOJ. The 2008 meltdown was SOJ. This team should win a playoff game this year. But I know this fanbase....as soon as there is any glimmer of hope, the optimists go overboard. All I am saying is keep expectations in check and enjoy the rest of the season (I say this now...but I am sure I'll bitch about something along the way).
Too right!! I always think about the America's Game as the season goes on. Trouble is I've been doing it since 2008 and so far it hasn't actually come to anything. Shame, because if I was directing it, 2008 and 2009 would have been top vioewing. Hell, after Week 4 in '08 I was all prepared for Chansi Stuckey to be the star of the season in a kind of 'out of the blue - OJ Anderson 1990 Giants' kind of way!
If "foot fetish tapes" and "same old" go together in your mind, I have no idea what team you've been following all these years.
Nice to see an actual sense of humor out of you..... I hope it didn't hurt. lol Bring it on Thunderbitch........... hahahaha that actually sounds funny.
It's week 15 and we're on the verge of another playoff appearance. Do you not remember the dark ages? THAT was the time for ledge contemplation. We're in good hands. A few good breaks and we're right there. We've seen worse than this (especially if you're hecka old, like myself). Cry if you're a Redskins fan. Cry if you're a Lions fan. Stop being a Joe Beningo masochist and enjoy success. We're in the hunt and that's more than I can say that most of the seasons I've struggled through. If this isn't enough pain for you, hire a dominatrix or something.
Harm City is right, if you can't embrace this season being 10-4, then you might not be able to embrace anything.
To each his own. I've been rooting for this team since 1977. In my experience, with this team, assume the worst and hope for the best. I was once an eternal optimist (and that optimist rears his dopey head, now and again), but I can no longer in good conscience advise anyone to get their hopes up.
But that's the thing, as long as you don't put unrealistic expectations on the team, you can't be surprised. 08 the writing was on the wall with the way the team was being coached. 09 was a 6-9 win season, but with some help they got hot then we knew any win after the WC game was gravy. This year, this team should win in the first round, and then will have to play their asses off to go any further.
