I think that Vick brings a little more veteran poise in the pocket, able to make good reads and deliver crisp throws that don't over shoot the receivers.

He might be a little rusty he hasn't been in a game other than a few ridiculous circus plays but, I think it's time to give Vick a shot. If anything Geno could use some down time to re-focus instead of being under such intense scrutiny with every snap.

Flatjetfan if you cant understand the difference between a meaningful game and a non-meaningful game then you are the one who needs help, not me. If the Jets are eliminated from the playoffs, its meaningless, its fools gold, as proven evident for those who bought into Genos final stretch of games and were under the impression that he turned the corner (which he clearly didnt). Those games dont have the same feel, dont have the same intensity, and most of all, do not have the same pressure. Do you believe playing in a game that can send you to the playoffs is the same as a game in which you are already eliminated? I mean get real.

Why not give Vick a shot? Yeah he's inaccurate and will get hurt but at least he'll provide a little excitement in the interim.

I admit I was shitting on Rivers at the time. Now it's really clear that the problem was Norv Turner. I hope the Vikings get rid of him before he ruins Teddy. He's already doing a great job at wasting Cordarelle Patterson.

Another thing Vick will change is because he's left handed, it puts more pressure on Giacomini to not just protect Vick's blindside but to take on the top pass rusher of each team. Giacomini's had a strong 1st 3 games but followed that up with a dud of a game 4 with a lot of pressure coming from the right side and adding 2 painful false start penalties that put us in unnecessary passing situations to convert.

His responsibility steps up tenfold if Vick's in the game to protect Vick and give him time to throw the ball and not have Vick just scramble around.

Why not move your linemen to opposite sides of the center? It keeps everything the same that way. Just saying

May sound silly but veteran OLineman prefer to not move around constantly, D'Brick's been in 1 spot the entire time as a Jet. He's also never paired with Colon I believe during these last 2 seasons whereas Winters can lean on both Mangold and DBrick for any snap count to not jump off guard.
