Yeah, I had a similar problem. I'm a big fan of unlimited (or close to it) DL spots, but I put it to a vote and it was decided to be what it is.

Hey guys, I sent out an email too but just to let you know keeper selection is approaching fast. The deadline is 2/18 I believe, so it's time to start thinking about it. Also, if there are any suggestions/changes, now is the time.
Just a reminder, there are about 2 weeks until the keeper deadline. I activated the league for the year, so you should be able to see your team and pick your keepers.
I don't have a computer available to me on a regular basis, and won't for a while, so I'm dropping out. Sorry if it's any inconveinence.
