Trey Adams or Nick Bosa? The debate will start and I'll have my popcorn ready.

WIth Qvale, Jets may play themselves into another 5-11 season. Beachum and the line stay healthy, 8 to 9 wins

Chicago and San Diego have very good OL depth from what I hear. May be a couple of others. Is there any hope for some sort of trade to get better talent at OG and OL.

I've always thought Westy would make a decent head coach but he would need an assistant for the personnel and non-football press stuff you know a politics guy. But imagine a OC & DC who actually calls the plays and isn't just in name only. And some fringe guys and free agents picked up with special team in consideration. That and mic him up, please. He is prob too old now though. One guy in the league I think would make a good HC is Jim Bob Cooter in Det.

I don't believe 'Mike Westhoff' & "head coach" belong in the same sentence.

Broke into the NFL way back in 1982 (36 years ago) and since then has only had O-Line, TE & mostly Special Teams opportunities. Great special teams coach and I'll leave it at that.

Now 70 years old and just way too big of an NFL sample size to have never been given an NFL head coaching opportunity.

Never even held a HC position throughout the college ranks from 1974-1981 (Indiana, Dayton, Indiana State, Northwestern & TCU).

Newer special team NFL rules have hurt him in that department as well; especially on kickoff returns.

Love Westy and appreciate how good a STs coach he was for so many years.

But I think a lot of it is what the coach has available. He needs a team that understands the importance of good STs. Parcells used to say he could improve a team quickly by stocking them with talent that could play specials. Its what he did when he came to the Jets and traded picks for more picks, so he could restock specials with players. When youre fielding a team of vets who cant play STs youre specials suffer. When youre rebuilding and lack talent top to bottom your STs suffer. To the point, look back at the last couple of seasons Westy coached our STs. They weren't impressive, had fewer players and the struggles had started
