We were never 8-3, because of Favre. He never won us 1 single game. He lost us a few, though. GO HOME BRETT, and let us move on.
i didnt bother to read this thread because im sure that it looked pretty much like what every thread involving favre has turned into in the last 2 months. lots of packer fan homerism for favre, lots of crazy senseless bashing of favre, i think we may have moved onto his choice of breakfast cereal this week but i cant keep up anymore, and maybe one or two posts actually talking about the topic. sorry if i was wrong on all my assumptions quote me and rip me if you want. favre can stay if he does the following things. he must be 100% healthy. he must participate in all off season workouts or anything else the rest of the team is doing. he must restructure his contract. he must show commitment to the team all the way up to september. once we get into the season it wont be concern to me on his effort and commitment. i know on sunday when he is out there he is giving it his all the entire time. its the process that leads up to him getting to play on sundays that is driving him away from the game.
ORLY. Second Pats game. He simply dominated. Not only that, had to deal with a miracle TD at the end of the game to make him get the game wining score one more time. Titans: Are you kidding me? Remember that throw that made a a titan go 'wow, how did he get it in there?", then another titan going "Dude, it's brett favre." Yeah, pretty sure he was a major factor in winning those two games. He also had moments when even when he played bad, he came through in the clutch. KC for example. Technically, he even came through in the clutch against oakland. Game tieing drive to end regulation, then a beauty of a pass to win in OT if baker didn't stumble. Oh, and last I checked, he played pretty darn well against miami in week one. Everyone likes to forget the good though, just because his last 4 games were pretty ugly.
After an 18 year career and an entire season with the Jets, how in God's name can you not spell his name correctly? And we never "was" 8-3....that doesn't even make sense.
I know few people who quote themselves and then agree with themsleves to prove their opinion, or at least try to, congratulations, you win my award for strangest arguer.
You must be kidding me! Favre didn't do anything special, at all. Great catches made him look good. He's done. He doesn't want to be a Jet. I don't want anyone on this team that doesn't want to be here. I'll say it again, BRETT FAVRE HIMSELF, NEVER WON 1 GAME, FOR US. NEVER!!!
Lasers for many of his passes brought them down the field tons of times, he scored some TDs, and he threw when he needed to throw masterfully, like a perfect pass on 3rd and 15 that guaranteed their win, that Favre, any other questions?
Derrick Anderson: GP PYDS PCT TDs INT RATING 10 1615 50.2 9 8 66.5 Terrible stats last season. He has rabbit ears and heard all the boos from the Dawg Pound. He is not mobile. Sure, he's perfect for the Meadowlands!!!
Two things come to mind when I read this topic. 1. He lead the league in INTs even before he was "injured". 2. He hid his injury at the expense of the team and it cost the team. Guy needs to retire.
