If it comes to that. I'm ten rows from the light tower so I can't do any worse on StubHub, not to mention they were hawking tickets all last season while we were going 11-5. Fuck the pre-season at full price plus parking, too. I'll be at the games whether I'm still a season ticket holder or not. It's not like it's our old section and seats where I feel a connection or anything.
Yeah, the guys in front of us are great, and Ed of course. I think forming that bond takes time, after people really settle in. I think ticket brokers got their hands on too many PSLs. It seemed the whole row right behind me at different people in it each week.
I didn't recognize anyone in my new section from one game to the next, at the old place we knew the people the past nine years. So if the Jets play hardbal I won't feel displaced at all. Something tells me I'll be able to get tickets.
I'm guessing the Union can't respond because technically I don't think there is one any more, is there? The whole thing is just a massive clusterfuck.
Technically not a union but a labor group or some shit like that. The main guys that are in charge are still holding those roles. I don't get why they can't at least sit down. I know if the court rules in favor of either on they'll have more leverage but everyone knows either one will appeal. Sooner or later they have to get back in that room, so why not make it sooner?
They're now known as the HNIC. As a BIG time lawyer myself, I think this will drag on for a while.
As a even BIGGER time lawyer, and Pilot I agree. I'm hoping we have no preseason games and a full season. At least I can get something out of this mess. (my money back for 2 shit games)
cause for all the money involved egos are still at play which ties back into money. basically its the asshole cycle of rich people dealing with even richer people
Interesting. You are the second person I know who claims to not watch baseball yet plays fantasy baseball which is the most intensive of all fantasy sports. You're in a keeper league to boot.
Maybe Sanchez will bang another 17 year old. That will at least give people something to bitch about.
Just an hour ago, I was talking to my mother and father, about my mom's Cat-scan, and we were just bullshitiing for a while, and we talked about the season and all of the things that we did at home, or the games we went to and the playoff rallies, and it made me want the season to come faster. There might be a possibility that my mom is worried that she might have cancer from 2 cysts she has on her lymph nodes on her neck, and when she gets nervous she just reminisces about things. As we were talking she out of no where says to me, as I have a jets shirt on, that she wishes that they will win a superbowl for me and my dad this year, then we had to explain that there might not be football this season (random story, I know). I just realized that this god damn team, no matter how bad, how good, or whatever happens, it brings my family together every year hoping for "that feeling" of winning.
I understand the skepticism as regards the appellate process, but the initial ruling will likely provide one side or the other some leverage, which might move the deal forward. More to the point and despite the NFL's apparent offer to talk, both sides are preparing and waiting for the hearing, so it is not surprising nothing happened in the interim. That being said, I am hopeful something will happen tomorrow or in the next few days that will move things forward.
whenever i really miss football i just watch the highlights from the pats game and it is always awesome no matter how many times you watch it.
Yeah, I've got about nine games saved on my DVR from NFL Replay on NFLN, they slice it down to 90 min, add in post-game quotes and NFL Films stuff, it's awesome. Haven't dug into the past season yet but I will.
