The first two years 2009/2010 with Rex and Sanchez being Rookies and the Jets repeating in the AFC Title Game, then yes, Rex with all his bravado was certainly the face of the Jets. This year, coming off 8-8, Rex toning it way down, and with Tebow in town, it's not so clear cut.

I'd say the whole Sanchez/Tebow thing is front and center until it plays out during the season.

If the SanBow idea takes off and really is impossible to defend with limited practice time, and other teams start to follow suit looking for their own Tebow, then Rex will be credited for changing the face of the NFL much like Bill Walsh was with the West Coast Offense and once again, Rex will be king of the NFL.

Edit: as far as the SanBow thing taking off, we've all heard it's a dumb idea and you never take your super star QB off the field for even one play. But remember, there are only 3 or 4 super star QBs (Brady, etc). The other 28 teams have avg or below avg QB's. So yoinking one of them for a few plays to roll out the 'other offense' may be a really good idea....we'll see.
