Come on fellas, you can't out-argue a fishhead about our own team? He's snarky but he's not trolling. Everything's been factual. --- And who said we wouldn't trade Rex for any coach? That's hilarious! Give me BB, McCarthy, either guy named Harbaugh, Cowher... hell, maybe Mike Smith, Coughlin, or Payton too. He's Dick LeBeau with less success and a bigger mouth. He's a good defensive mind and motivator. He also has poor in-game and in-press-conference decision making and no real sense of how to run an offense, other than how to do it in a way that most benefits the defense.
yeah, but its still a heaping pile more than they have. So if someone wants to come hereand talk that shit, let it not be a fan of the modern day buccaneers.
Rex is 49 LeBeau is 74 and ready to retire. Honest questiom, is there a single coach youd trade this man for ? Hes got a lot of learning, but ive never seen a young coach turn a team around with so much success. Hes not a Tomlin who inherieted an elite team, he turned this ship around. and he was obviously handcuffed/forced schittys o on him. Now well learn the real rex ryan offensive philosphy
Oh I don't think i'll have to root or hope for anything, sanchez and rex's sideshow circus will take care of that for me.
Get ready to complain about how conservative our offense is going to be. Because for better or worse, that's what Rex wants: an offense that minimizes mistakes. We're going to take very few chances, and if Sparano and our personnel changes do not significantly improve our running game, we're going to be doing a lot of punting. We all think Herm is a moron, but him and Rex are philosophically pretty similar. Rex is just a better coach.
Not gonna lie i love the thought of stuffing the ball up the middle all day.Thats real football Its the cutesy moronic shit schitty did all day that drove me nuts with the 30 2 yard pass attempts
Jets averaged 3.8 YPC this year. 3rd worst. That's going to lead to a ton of 3rd and 4-8, just pounding the ball every play. I guess we're stuck passing on third down then? An offense that predictable will never thrive. We need to be able to use one facet to free up the other. No team in this league can line up and run it on a play by play basis, while being successful, without a significant passing threat.
3.8 means 3rd and 2-3 on average if my maths correct. More we run it, more we work the playaction, sanchezs specialty
You have to balance in the 10 yard carries and the 1 yard carries. The Jets running game gets very few big yardage running plays to pad the average and make the running game a more attractive option. But we don't have particularly electric players at the position, we have grinders. Obviously if the team could line up and was guaranteed 3.8 yards, every drive would end in a touchdown.
How do you run the ball with a terrible offensive line because none of the talent was replaced and mediocre rushers? yeah when the Jets had an imposing line and T Jones we could run the ball, the line now is awful and Shonn Green is NOT T Jones. Like it or not Sanchez is simply going to have to make plays string drives together with his arm for this team to win.
You got it right. This team's best chance at winning is to be a ground and pound offense. Shotty sucked because he didn't understand this. The more you run the better you get at it. You have to be willing to lose games 10 to 6 because you were grounding and pounding away. Being unpredictable is stupid. The reason your play was unpredictable is because it was a stupid call for that situation. Instead of being unpredictable you should simply execute so well that they can't stop you even if they know what you're going to do. The great Cowboy teams were extremely predictable. The Parcel Giants were predictable. They just executed well.
Football Outsiders thinks we had the 17th best pass protection (Green Bay's was 22nd) and 7th best run blocking. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol Terrible is a stretch, it was merely not to the elite level it's been in years past.
Not when you pass it 60 times in a game, thats why this rex/sparano offense is so much more attractive to me
You realize when we had T Jones and ran the ball everyone complained about not letting Sanchez throw right? You know that when the Jets have five consecutive 3 and outs people will scream for the long ball. There's no satisfying you guys ever.
Yes, I have to laugh when some here, usually Sanchez Fans, try and make the case that the OL was terrible.
